Watched the programmer about Victoria’s side of her story.
She has been very brave giving her version of events and very plausible. She came across more convincing than PA.
Where will it all end?

Victims keep quiet regardless of people of power or not.

Ilovecheese Tue 03-Dec-19 19:38:48

Reading these threads about Prince Andrew has made me realise just how difficult it must be for a person to come forward and say they have been abused by someone who is in a position of power. People falling over themselves to find a reason for disbelief and find an ulterior motive. No wonder victims keep quiet for years when they see how others are treated after coming forward.

I haven't seen the interview yet and of course some of these girls may have been vulnerable for whatever reason but it's hard to know what they were like back then, so many years ago. As I said, it's all 'he said' and 'she said' which is not concrete evidence.

Jabberwok Tue 03-Dec-19 18:37:34

Well, Quite!!

Chestnut Tue 03-Dec-19 17:59:32

Do we know how GM found these girls and persuaded them to participate? I just think that as a teenager I would have told her where to go. She must have thought they were suitable types of girls, so what was her criteria? Some teenage girls are very precocious while others are shy, but the girls required for this type of work must have come across as fairly confident. So were they completely innocent victims or older than their years and maybe already sexually active? The young lady in the PA photo certainly doesn't look unhappy, in fact she looks rather excited by it all.

If PA slept with this woman in the UK and she was 17 at the time. She was, in this country, over the age of consent.

I make no comment on the rest of the story .I have not seen the interviews with either of the protagionists or followed the story in any detail.

Just another way of thinking of this awful case.

Andrew is not the brightest coin in the mint. Until Epstein was charged and sentenced he quite possible had sex with Virginia and others but would think they were eager to jump into bed with him. I doubt they were dragged screaming into a bedroom.

When Epstein was charged he may have had the biggest panic attack imaginable. Went to visit Epstein to make sure
his name wouldn’t be brought into it

Yes ? No ?

Jabberwok Tue 03-Dec-19 17:17:47

You would if you thought that perhaps one day, it might be worth a tidy sum!!

Grammaretto Tue 03-Dec-19 17:07:52

whoops sorry Virginia.

Smileless2012 Tue 03-Dec-19 17:07:34

She kept the photo and sold it for $160,000tchshock TBH I don't know what to make of any of this but is it really plausible you would keep and then sell a photo of the person you're now making accusations against?

Grammaretto Tue 03-Dec-19 17:06:07

None of them come out well do they? I found Victoria passingly plausible (and there was the evidence from other girls) and I think that PA should account for himself by speaking to the FBI especially as he has nothing to hide!
On the other hand, why would he want to do that?

merlotgran Tue 03-Dec-19 16:29:50

grin

Anniebach Tue 03-Dec-19 16:27:33

Oh, thanks merlot , thought it was some legal term blush

merlotgran Tue 03-Dec-19 16:25:53

BS = Bullshit.

Anniebach Tue 03-Dec-19 16:07:57

What does she mean by ‘i’m Calling BS on this ?

Anniebach Tue 03-Dec-19 15:50:24

I have photographs from the 60’s, 70’s , 80’s, 90’s to 2017, no number on the back of one.

sodapop Tue 03-Dec-19 15:45:54

What was meant by that comment EllanVannin Acting - Americans are famed for it
Another sweeping and untrue generalisation.

Chestnut Tue 03-Dec-19 15:20:16

To get to the facts I think they need to keep searching for evidence. It's no good hearing 'he said' and 'she said' because as we know people lie. I'm sure more evidence will surface eventually, because there must be some kind of paper trail (or electronic evidence) on where PA was at any given time.

Anniebach Tue 03-Dec-19 14:32:16

I thought the same venall , surely if William is on an official tour and wants to contact his wife and children it wouldn’t be
an email from The Duke of Cambridge

vena11 Tue 03-Dec-19 14:04:51

No Anniebach they would not and he would have had a personal e.mail for close friends

Sparklefizz Tue 03-Dec-19 14:04:51

It doesn't add up re the photograph as Annie says ..... and yet she seemed extremely plausible, and if she was acting, well then give that woman a bunch of Oscars.

Anniebach Tue 03-Dec-19 13:46:52

She kept a photograph of a man who allegedly sexually abused her for 10 years !

Anniebach Tue 03-Dec-19 13:45:18

She said Epstein took the photograph with her camera

merlotgran Tue 03-Dec-19 13:31:49

Do we know who actually took the photo?

eazybee Tue 03-Dec-19 13:29:55

'Date on the back of the photo is 13 March 2001.
Freelance photographer Michael Thomas first copied the picture in 2011.
He is convinced the picture is genuine because he found it in the middle of a bundle of photos that Ms Giuffre handed him from her travels with Epstein and Ms Maxwell.
She sold it for $160,000 to him, apparently'.
From BBC news report.
Probably both lying; what a seedy couple.
