Take back control??? ???

SirChenjin Wed 11-Dec-19 15:19:24

Hopefully these decent middle of the roaders will do the right thing by voting for anyone else but the Tories to send a clear message to BJ/Cummings/Mogg/Gove and all the other extreme right wing low lifes that their style of Conservatism isn’t welcome here.

lemongrove Wed 11-Dec-19 15:14:46

That’s his view WWM2 ( very likely an arch Remainer.)
Decent middle of the road Conservatives have no choice but to oppose Corbyn.

SirChenjin Wed 11-Dec-19 14:43:05

I think most Tory voters probably have Chestnut - the rest of us certainly haven’t.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 11-Dec-19 14:20:20

Are there any decent conservative voters on GN?

Peter Oborne
@OborneTweets

I write today in Open Democracy that decent, middle-of-the-road Conservatives have no choice but to oppose Boris Johnson's unremitting war on everything the party has fought to save and protect over the last 200 years:

Are you employed full time by the Labour Party Whitewavemark2?
You must be on here all day every day.
I think most people have switched you off some time ago to be honest.

Shelmiss Wed 11-Dec-19 13:31:30

I’m in one of the above constituencies. And I will be voting tactically. But not for Labour.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 11-Dec-19 10:33:28

Off we go again?

20/ Harrow East.

The Tory Brexiter Bob Blackman, who’s voted against gay rights and posted anti-Muslim material on Facebook, can be defeated with the help of just 1,407 Lib Dems.

The Lib Dems mounted a strong challenge here but have fallen too far behind to catch up. If 1,481 lend their votes to

No surprise there. Give it five to ten years and the Tories will be gone and we’ll be negotiating our re-entry to the EU.

Most people really like Labour policies, so long as they don't know who formulated them

trisher Wed 11-Dec-19 09:54:36

Or do you want to continue seeing foodbanks increase and homeless numbers soar?

Yehbutnobut Wed 11-Dec-19 09:14:48

@GeorgeMonbiot

I believe most people, if they read Labour's manifesto, would think "this is the kind of country I want". The problem is that most people have not read it, and instead get a completely twisted version, accompanied by extravagant smears and lies, from the media.

Anniebach Wed 11-Dec-19 08:37:11

The choice at the ballot box - do you want to be hanged or shot.

This thread has cheered me up, although I was already sitting on a scary bubble of hope. The Tory controlled media has such a lot to answer for, persuading so many people to vote against their own interests by scaremongering.

What the Labour Party manifesto outlines is actually the economic norm in many Scandinavian countries. Strong economies, with excellent public services.

SirChenjin Wed 11-Dec-19 07:04:42

It’s almost as if she has some link to the Torie party hmm

growstuff Wed 11-Dec-19 04:10:47

Amazingly, Newsnight reported on the fake news about the woman who claimed she had a friend in Leeds.

It appears the account wasn't hacked, but she's now claiming that she just copied and pasted something. Coincidentally, she's met Theresa May and it appears her son is actively involved with the Conservative Party.

Weird! hmm
