Harry & Megan drop HRH Titles

I think that they have agreed to drop the HRH titles from April, as there would have been too many conditions to making money while holding the title.
They are also, apparently, going to repay the £2.4m of taxpayers money spent on Frogmore.
So, it looks like neither of them will be back to the UK very often at all.
I think that this is the right decision, do you?

If you scroll down and look at the video I would say it's definitely paps. The photos have then been doctored to look as though they've been taken at close range by somebody she knows.

Listening to the traffic noise I'd say it's a very public place and the security bods were clearly not paying enough attention.

Yes I think it is H that is not happy. M beams when she is photographed....she loves it and she looks good, she really is very attractive.

Calendargirl Tue 21-Jan-20 17:57:30

I think I read the photos were taken on Monday. As another poster said, do you think it’s Harry not Meghan who is unhappy they were taken? Perhaps she didn’t mind until he returned and was cross.

pinkquartz Tue 21-Jan-20 17:53:34

That is so funny......she knew that she was being photoed, you can see her smiling into the camera.

Also why would they think the paps wouldn't happen in Canada?
They happen everywhere there are celebs.....after all paps have to make a living too.
we can't all live off of Royal money.

How can you stop paparazzi taking photos? She wants to work in showbiz......ergo she needs publicity and she will get publicity. good and bad. that is the way it goes.
which is why H doesn't seem to have worked out that what he wants ie privacy isn't compatible with a wannabe actress/media person.

The bodyguards should have told her not to walk in a public
area. Perhaps they did. Diana’s bodyguards told her not to leave the Ritz that night.

sodapop Tue 21-Jan-20 17:51:09

I agree out of the frying pan into a much worse fire.

maddyone Tue 21-Jan-20 17:49:20

Well it will be worse in LA for sure. I don’t know why they - she, wants to live in LA, I didn’t particularly like it when I went, but Vancouver is beautiful, I’d definitely choose Vancouver. But of course, I wouldn’t be wanting to live a red carpet style life, I’m not entirely sure Harry does either, judging by his own comments about living a quiet life.

merlotgran Tue 21-Jan-20 17:48:24

Why was she smiling into the camera then? hmm

Rubbish security.

Luckygirl Tue 21-Jan-20 17:45:48

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have issued a legal warning to the media after photographs of Meghan in Canada were published in newspapers and on websites.

Lawyers say the photos of the duchess walking her dogs and carrying her son were taken by photographers hiding in bushes and spying on her.

How sad for them - is there no decency left? There is a small child involved in all of this.

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 17:17:15

Oh what have they done, the paps are camped outside their
mansion. They are not too far from the border and in America it’s open season for paps.

grannypiper Tue 21-Jan-20 17:00:38

If those photos were taken without prior consent those bodyguards need sacking

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 16:42:41

Quite an easy way to keep in the press, walk in public places
aping the Cheshire Cat, paps snap, photograph in press, then
complain you privacy is being invaded , repeat same,

MawB Tue 21-Jan-20 16:15:46

So when the Sussexes sue the Canadian paparazzi , what will they accuse them of? Racism?
They may find the British media, especially when handled diplomatically, were pussy cats in comparison.
Frying pans and fires?

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 15:41:02

merlot I didn’t walk Snowdon , I hiked ?

merlotgran Tue 21-Jan-20 15:29:57

jolbrook

No need for nasty comments.

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 15:27:43

True jolbook we saw the film over 20 years ago.

merlotgran Tue 21-Jan-20 15:27:30

I think it's a public 'trail', Anniebach. I'm having to get used to 'hiking' as opposed to 'walking,' which apparently is only done in urban areas.

jo1book Tue 21-Jan-20 15:24:51

You can try to fool the world with your stunts, Mrs. Sussex but you won't fool GN.

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 15:20:43

What happens when they do the red carpet? Suppose they will
rehearse well before the event.

It all seems so arranged, she walks alone smiling , photograph
hits the front pages they issue a warning,

Was it a public park ?

Buffybee Tue 21-Jan-20 15:20:20

Anniebach mentioned that her and Harry have issued a warning to the 'paps' but it did look as though she knew she was being photographed.
Perhaps that is why she had Archie facing inwards so that he couldn't be snapped, being mindful of Harrys hatred of them.
Who knows?
She could be doing 'a Diana', courting the press, while also complaining about them.
She also may have had a friend with her, taking pics and the 'paps' took advantage of it.
I just hope, in this country at least, they gradually fade into the background.

Do you know, I don't think her toenails were properly cut. Shame on her!

merlotgran Tue 21-Jan-20 15:14:10

Odd about the quality of the photos. I saw some really clear ones to begin with but then in another publication they're blurry. If it was a pap photographer using a long lense they are probably right to issue a warning but Meghan is looking straight at the camera and smiling. hmm

jo1book Tue 21-Jan-20 15:05:20

Who walks a big 8 mth old baby with it's face pressed into carrier's bosom? I thought the idea was for the baby to see where it was being walked and enjoy the fresh air? Wird behaviour from a weird woman.
