After the news about Bea and Edo's wedding venue this morning, I was having a quick scan to see what Harry would managed to newsbomb them with. Well it seems they scurried around a bit and finally got themselves into the evening news. Well done Harry and Meghan, don't get caught napping when you have family to compete with for publicity [roll eyes]

The Crown - It's not hers to donate.

Another daft post.

Anniebach Mon 10-Feb-20 22:08:37

Peter is her first grandchild , he was with her at Sandringham
when the Andrew allegations were filling the front pages

suziewoozie Mon 10-Feb-20 22:11:52

Oh goodie lets have a new thread on how MM is causing other royal marriages to fall apart. She’s a very naughty girl.

Calendargirl Mon 10-Feb-20 22:14:02

Sad to see that Peter and Autumn to separate. Two lovely children, what a shame. I’m sure the Princess Royal will feel for her family.

suziewoozie Mon 10-Feb-20 22:15:49

Well let’s face it, PR is divorced. - it’s hardly unheard of in the RF.

suziewoozie Mon 10-Feb-20 22:16:45

Peter and Autumn and the £500,000 Hello wedding.

Anniebach Mon 10-Feb-20 22:18:17

What I don’t understand in all this over Megan and Harry is
they find it so easy to walk away.

What of family loyalty, Harry knows what lies ahead for his
Father and brother and sister in law. Many have said he is doing the right thing for Megan, surely marriage is a two way
thing, she must have known what his duty was and where
his loyalty lay.

Bridgeit Mon 10-Feb-20 22:27:56

£500,000 if Hello magazine is willing to pay that amount, you can only wonder how much they are going to make out of It.
It is the general public who are happily buying the magazine(s) no one is being forced to hand over their hard earned cash they are choosing to do so.?

Bridgeit Mon 10-Feb-20 22:30:44

Family dynamics all over the world are much the same Annie.

Anniebach Mon 10-Feb-20 22:33:51

Yes sadly they are now Bridgeit and I think we are the worse for it. It seems ‘me first’ is the way to go.

Anniebach Mon 10-Feb-20 22:34:53

Who is PR ?

Bridgeit Mon 10-Feb-20 22:38:47

Annie I think that is Princess Anne ( Princess Royal ]

Anniebach Mon 10-Feb-20 22:40:25

Thank you Bridgeit

Bridgeit Mon 10-Feb-20 22:41:20

?

POGS Tue 11-Feb-20 11:04:36

suziewoozie

You fascinate me I admit but I wonder if you posting out of a genuine ' feeling ' for MM or is it a case of using her to attack the Royal Family that you obviously have no good word for.?

maddyone Tue 11-Feb-20 11:40:18

POGS, you hit the nail on the head there.

Jabberwok Tue 11-Feb-20 12:47:36

I agree Annie. The Sussexes could have been such a wonderful support for PC, but particularly for William, Katherine and their children in what could be a rocky road ahead of them. All their lives these brothers seemed so very fond and supportive of each other and for one of them to walk away and leave the other one, faced with the inevitable, just to get on with it seems quite inexplicable. Sad for those children too as they will never really know each other. I can't begin to understand how Prince Harry could do that to his much loved brother. However, the Duke of Windsor did it to George V1th, so I suppose lighting has struck twice! Very sad!

maddyone Tue 11-Feb-20 12:49:43

I agree with you Jabberwok.

maddyone Tue 11-Feb-20 12:56:48

POGS,
Some people dislike the system of monarchy and appear happy that H+M’s defection might have thrown a spanner in the works. They applaud what H+M have done merely because Meghan has hit out at the royals calling them ‘toxic’ apparently. That’s because those people also believe the monarchy is toxic and they want it to be abolished.

Anniebach Tue 11-Feb-20 13:01:50

Jabber , he walked away from his father and brother but still
wants their money for his extravagant life style.

Just checked royal appointments for March, nothing for Harry , that’s 4 months off work.

Anniebach Tue 11-Feb-20 13:03:19

Agree POGS and Maddy.

Jabberwok Tue 11-Feb-20 13:10:31

I know Annie, I think he's got one hell of a nerve!! Surely he must have made it clear to Meghan before they married exactly what his commitments to his family and to this country were?! Perhaps he didn't! suspecting that she would walk if he did!!

ReadyMeals Tue 11-Feb-20 16:12:52

Lol Suziewoozie, there is no knowing the depths of Meghan's plots. That's quite sad about Peter and Autumn though, but maybe they just drifted apart. Maybe the reasons will emerge later.

maddyone Tue 11-Feb-20 16:52:45

The fact that H+M started to do royal duties and engagements and became full time royals and that Meghan said she wanted to hit the ground running, suggests that Harry both wanted to be a full time royal, and that he explained to Meghan what was going to happen. It is perfectly possible that despite this, that Meghan did not truly understand what this meant, as she is a citizen of a country that doesn’t have royalty.
I do not know what was in Meghan’s mind, or whether, as has been speculated, that she never intended to stay the course, but she didn’t really give it a fair go did she? And why has Harry done a 360 degree turn, and gone from working alongside his wife as a full time royal, to total rejection of his/their expected role? It’s all very strange. As far as I am aware, Harry didn’t appear to want to reject his role previous to Meghan, and he was involved in various mental health and armed forces charities, and he appeared enthusiastic about this work, prior to Meghan.

ReadyMeals Tue 11-Feb-20 17:06:52

No I think Meghan fully intended to knuckle down to it. I think as she got to know Harry better (remember they had not really had a very long relationship before marriage) I think she came to the realisation that HE needed some space to find a new Harry within himself. Maybe they will be back after a time. I hope so.
