After the news about Bea and Edo's wedding venue this morning, I was having a quick scan to see what Harry would managed to newsbomb them with. Well it seems they scurried around a bit and finally got themselves into the evening news. Well done Harry and Meghan, don't get caught napping when you have family to compete with for publicity [roll eyes]

Totally agree with Annie! I wonder how the children of Syria etc manage to cope with the total wipe out of their family members? Children of the Hollacaust dito? Millions of children world wide lose parents, siblings and so on without the need, 20 odd years later to be making masses of money out of a tragedy. Beyond tacky! Just hope neither of these two set foot in this country again. Thank God for Prince William and Katherine, so different to whining whingeing Harry and his tinsel town wife!

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 13:52:23

Jabber William, Kate and Harry started a charity
‘Heads Together’, they spoke of their grief and the grief of so many who have lost a parent .

Along comes Sparkle Markle, Harry goes to S.A. and we hear of his grief, now we hear of Harry’s grief and therapy in Miami . Whilst William and Kate still work
for ‘Heads Together’ for this country and they listen too

Greymar Sat 08-Feb-20 13:53:34

They cope very badly and the trauma passes down the generations.

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 13:55:21

Who does Greymar ?

Greymar Sat 08-Feb-20 14:13:28

I was responding to Jabberwocky asking how children cope. I think it's so sad that we are comparing. Trauma is trauma.

Jabberwok Sat 08-Feb-20 14:17:31

Exactly Annie! It all started with so much promise, and so much goodwill and affection from the british public and press, what could possibly go wrong?!!!!! People, have, over the years, been so supportive of both these Princes, Harry in particular, that to now be told that this support has somehow been partially responsible for driving him away from this country, is hurtful and bewildering to say the least! The fact that he seems willing to use the grief experienced by the death of his mother to make mega mega bucks is honestly quite obscene and unfathomable!

Jabberwok Sat 08-Feb-20 14:24:54

Of course trauma is trauma! Most people rely on the NHS for help, not the best that money can buy! Most people don't seek constant public pity and attention, most of all, most people don't seek to make colossal sums of money out of personal tragedy.

Nezumi65 Sat 08-Feb-20 14:30:41

Where did he say help and support from the great British public has been partially responsible for driving him away?

ReadyMeals Sat 08-Feb-20 14:34:38

Jabberwok - one could be waiting a very long time for a place in NHS therapy, sadly. I guess that the one benefit of rich people going private is the less wealthy get an appointment sooner.

The kind of awareness the Princes and their wives are raising is helpful to people with affective disorders such as depression. But I wonder if the most damaging mental health problem for society in general are the delusional disorders such as psychosis. That's the sort of thing that caused the man to throw the little boy off the balcony at the art gallery, people pushing people under trains, mass shootings etc. The trend in western communities seems to be to help people who ask for help, but little is in place to monitor or control those who have no insight into their own psychoses.

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 14:37:22

He cocked a snoop at the British public, the dramatic announcement that there would be no announcement followed by a request for the press to film him making the
announcement that he had previously announced there will
be no announcement.

Work that out ?

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 14:40:42

ReadyMeals one prince and his wife are rasing awareness , the other prince decided saving the world was more interesting and got more front page coverage.

Nezumi65 Sat 08-Feb-20 14:47:17

The man who threw the boy off the balcony was badly let down by social services & prob his local CCG . He should never have had his support package cut. Austerity related cuts lead to tragedy after tragedy. This time another family’s life was destroyed in the fall out. The issues in that case are far broader than MH service cuts. They usually just result in personal misery/loss of life.

Greymar Sat 08-Feb-20 16:06:03

How absolutely horrible some people are. Pain, trauma, loss, money makes not a scrap of difference.

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 16:12:28

Money can help to pass the waiting lists on the NHS, no money can take away emotional pain

merlotgran Sat 08-Feb-20 16:12:49

So would he give that talk for free then, Greymar?

And pay his own expenses including the private jet?

merlotgran Sat 08-Feb-20 16:15:05

I fail to see why spotting some questionable issues and discussing them is being horrible.

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 16:15:57

merlot he could give that talk for free in this country but
Miami and wealthy listeners plus a big fee seems more important
