I am disgusted by the announcement that these two have sacked 15 British members of staff. What are they thinking?
I ask myself 'how would I feel if I'd upped sticks and gone to another country out of loyalty to my employer, only for them to get rid of me 3 months later.
I would be heartbroken and furious.

Grany Fri 06-Mar-20 16:51:11

Reading this all this worshiping of the Royals is sickening.

And William he is a tool so entitled when on programme about taking over the Duchy who says they can have the millions the Duchy brings them plus the yearly payout and free travel and security.

I read in the metro today

Charles and Camila riding on public transport red bus photo all stage managed they will never be one of us. They go back to their servants and palaces.

And they do not know the meaning of hard work

Do you think they care about ordinary people? They have money given to them from all directions and they are all extremely wealthy they have millions stashed away in tax havens to avoid paying taxes.

Kate and William have it so that all money from their royal titles they get back in royalties same as Maghan and Harry.

And good luck to M and H glad they left to make their own way I hope this leads to the end of this Royal Family.

And I think Maghan was subjected to unfair bias racism comparing her to Kate I heard it from more than one person.

After the Queen goes

I hope we get a republic

Harry said ‘every time I hear a click, every time I see a flash it
takes me back’

vegansrock Fri 06-Mar-20 16:57:11

Everyone was gawping at the photos weren’t they? Don’t you think Kate was overdoing the green on her Ireland trip? Just as well the Irish aren’t that interested in them. As for the pointy Madonna bra on the evening green outfit. Very unflattering.

Anniebach Fri 06-Mar-20 16:58:08

But Grany Megan and Harry are not making their own way.

And them leaving the family doesn’t mean the end of the royal family, Harry is a junior royal, 6 th in line,

They have been away for months , nothing missed for this country.

Jane10 Fri 06-Mar-20 17:04:04

Kate's really throwing herself into her royal duties and manages to look as though she's enjoying every minute. He smiles seem genuine and she doesn't mind making a fool of herself at the hurling. Attagirl. That's the way to do it!

Chestnut Fri 06-Mar-20 17:08:29

Rant over Grany? It's your opinion and you have every right to post it, but I really think you need to watch some of the programmes about the Royal Family to understand the amount and type of work they do. They do not have a life of ease (with some exceptions of course). Most people want the firm slimmed down but definitely not lost.

maddyone Fri 06-Mar-20 17:14:35

So that’s why some people think H+M did the right thing, it’s because they think it’s the beginning of the end and we’ll get a republic grin
Well now we know.
Grany good advice from Chestnut.

maddyone Fri 06-Mar-20 17:17:07

Grany
So you approve of royals trading on their royal connections and getting paid multi millions to talk about their dead mother quite clearly.

Anniebach Fri 06-Mar-20 17:18:51

I think Kate is a breath of fresh air, she and William are moving the firm forward, I think they have the balance just
right.

Jabberwok Fri 06-Mar-20 17:18:52

I think the Irish tour has gone very well and despite unpleasant comments on here Katherine looked lovely and is clearly a great asset to the RF and this country, as is William.
M.M and Harry making their own way?!!!!! Don't make me laugh!!! Their security is paid for by us, they're worth millions in their own right, most of it inherited money no doubt safely tucked away in a tax haven! subsidised by P.C to the tune of 2 million and are looking to make further millions on the back of the RF if they can get away with it. Making your own way in this context has a bit of a privileged ring to it!!!
End of the RF? I don't think so, they've been conned by these two and will probably be glad to see the back of them, and will certainly be better off without them as the past few months have proved! Harry will never be king, too many in front of him so he's no loss to anyone, particularly this country thank God!

Chewbacca Fri 06-Mar-20 17:24:51

I'm struggling to get any further than this statement from Grany earlier today

William he is a tool

gringringrin so succinct and eloquent not!

Jabberwok Fri 06-Mar-20 17:32:27

Perhaps she meant fool? Even so, not a nice comment and blatantly untrue!

merlotgran Fri 06-Mar-20 17:34:46

I sometimes wonder what planet the RF fashion adviser/dressers are on. I agree with vegansrock that Kate wore far too much green. It's a very outdated idea that wearing a country's colour is a compliment. It's not a fancy dress event. A green accessory or jacket would have sufficed.

Anniebach Fri 06-Mar-20 17:38:41

She could have worn Orange !

SirChenjin Fri 06-Mar-20 17:39:23

Or red, blue, white, orange and green?

maddyone Fri 06-Mar-20 17:43:59

I agree with you merlot.
I didn’t like everything Kate wore on this trip, although I usually like her clothes. She wore too much green and some of it was frumpy. I dislike it when royals suddenly take to wearing saris or shalwar kameez when in Asian countries, it looks so false. Or clothes they would simply never wear just to ‘fit in’ to the culture. So long as clothes are respectful, they should wear normal clothes that they would usually wear, in my opinion.

beverly10 Fri 06-Mar-20 17:44:48

I wonder what Prince Harry feels about his move to Canada.
which without a doubt was his wife's choice although I do not believe he needed much of a push. Many make a life miles away from family and friends but with the knowledge that those they leave will or can visit any time. Can't see Prince Charles and Camilla, William and Kate with their three hopping on a long haul least of all her Majesty for a couple of weeks in Canada.Sadly I fear that Archie will never get to know his heritage but who am I to say never.?Not always will his parents be able to say what he can and cannot do.

Namsnanny Fri 06-Mar-20 17:59:48

Did Grany … mean a tool of the establishment maybe? Rather than just at 'tool'!!!! Which of course is a derogatory statement.

Namsnanny Fri 06-Mar-20 18:05:12

As for the green Kate wore I agree with others too much too frumpy and to condescending.
But .….there is an awful lot of block emerald green clothing in the shops at the mo.
It is tipped as the colour of the moment.

Perhaps someone thought kill two birds with one stone, show that Kate is wearing the height of fashion and get Ireland on side?
She does have a lot of influence on the sales of clothing.
I suppose they cant always get it right.

vegansrock Fri 06-Mar-20 18:10:28

The Queen didn’t see too much of her own children when they were small so
I doubt she’s bothered about Archie.

Smileless2012 Fri 06-Mar-20 18:13:12

It was different when the Queen had young children, things have changed and at the age of 94 not seeing her youngest GGC may well be bothering her.

dorcas1950 Fri 06-Mar-20 18:13:30

Oh dear Grany

Greymar Fri 06-Mar-20 18:18:11

at the age of 94 not seeing her youngest GGC may well be bothering her

Poor Queen. Still none of her family are bedding down on cardboard in a shop door way are they?

Namsnanny Fri 06-Mar-20 18:19:42

I guess she was trying to show how they're thriving now they've left toxic Britain
Yes exactly Maddyone, much better put than my similar point smile

Anniebachsmile

maddyone Fri 06-Mar-20 18:22:39

Also it’s said that Harry is her favourite, I think a grandparent shouldn’t have favourites, but she had a lot to do with the boys when they lost their mother. If he is her favourite, he’s made life very difficult for her, and that’s a shame.
The Queen saw plenty of her own children before she became queen, and then duty took over, and that’s why she had a second family, Andrew and Edward, later on when she had more time to give to them.
