I said a while ago, I'm doubtful they will have a second child now. I think Meghan is eager to get a career of some sort going urgently, and if she were planning a second baby it would need to be fairly soon due to her age.

They need to earn big time in the near future, whilst they are still wanted and relevant in the US. She will not be sitting back letting Harry do it, she will be the driving force, in my opinion. Can only wait and see.

To return to the bright clothes, it is a convention, not protocol, that royal ladies wear light, bright colours so that they will stand out against the mill of people surrounding them, and be easily seen. Black and dark colours are reserved for mourning and Meghan was advised of this. She immediately appeared in black, three different dresses in one day, and very dark navy, green and brown at state occasions so that she would be noticeably different from the other royal women.
This past weekend has been designed to show us what we are missing, and is M's idea of how the royal family should present itself: pure Hollywood and very vulgar.

lemon Except trisher that Harry and Meghan are refusing to do any more performing...i.e. carrying out royal duties, they prefer to live in another country doing nothing for the same money.
Only that's not true lemon they will be funded by Charles and lose their Royal income.

I do not wish to get into a Kate/Meghan thing but Kate has a look of startled hilarity most of the time which simply cannot be genuine. She looks so nice when it is an event she enjoys or it is " her thing", for example the garden she designed. I'm sorry, but when she is listening to Fred Bloggs describe his patent for cheese or something, the near hysterical grin is not quite right.

The children are comical when they perform but they have learnt the wrong part! George and his cousin are a funny pair and little Charlotte is too.

Are you saying that M went against conventions while part of the RF in order to stand out?

I have only taken any notice of her and H since they
preached at us to save the environment and think about poor people........before that I have avoided reading anything about any of the RF.

I have since I began to read bout them notice that Beatrice and Eugenie dress in a very idiosyncratic style. Not really like any of the others.
Also the Queen dresses in lovely bright colours.

Pinkquartz, I don’t react negatively to articles about any of them, none of us know the truth or the whys & wherefores.
If our own families were appraised publicly by neighbours , I am sure their versions of events wouldn’t be entirely accurate.
So unless it comes straight from the persons own mouth ,I take a pinch of salt with it ( as the saying goes)

Predictable, if somewhat hackneyed response Bridgeit.
As I am not writing a university essay I do not have the references available, but they come mainly from articles and interviews from royal correspondents and retired members of the royal household, many in the business far longer than the younger generation of royals and with a huge store of practical knowledge. They could see danger looming early, and have much more inside knowledge than we do.
They were aware of Meghan's faux pas very early on, except that they were not accidental but deliberate. Not important in themselves, but an indication of how she meant to behave, as has been revealed. What sort of woman secretly registers a royal brand name before her child is even born? What sort of woman twice snubs the Queen's invitation to Sandringham, then very publicly flies to America to watch a tennis match.
It is not polite to intentionally defy convention when you move to a foreign country and marry into a long established and important family 'business'. If you do, then expect criticism.

So to answer your question , I am not in a position to agree or disagree as to wither that is cruel or not, because I don’t know enough about them, their previous lives & the family dynamics, only they know that.
Everything else is pure speculation.IMO

I think Catherine’s children have a cousin through their Aunt Pippa, Catherine’s sister.

I don’t know ,what sort of woman does that, please tell me.

trisher your pictures of Kate are at Rememberance Day, so of course she will wear black! The other was just an evening dress and I'm sure we've all worn black in the evening once or twice.
