This doesn’t seem to be being discussed much do here goes

1. Black people are mentally inferior
2. Women’s sport is more comparable to the Paralympics than it is to men’s
3. Enforced long term contraception
4. The benefits of everyone modafinil once a week are ‘probably worth a dead kid once a years
5. FGM is not a serious risk to girls ‘much of the hue and cry looks more like a moral panic’

For starters.

Hetty58 Tue 18-Feb-20 08:37:14

I'm so glad he's resigned (still puzzled that he was appointed in the first place, though).

SirChenjin Tue 18-Feb-20 08:38:15

Neatly summed up suzie.

Storm/teacup/say nothing/it’ll all blow over/think Brexit.

GagaJo Tue 18-Feb-20 08:42:49

So much for all the BB's 'holier than thou, Jeremy Corbyn is corrupt/not fit to run the country' blah blah blah.

All that selfish voting JUST to get rid of foreigners and restore little Britain. Now we live in a totalitarian state run by unelected megalomaniacs.

Nice one! Hope you're proud and pleased.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 18-Feb-20 08:47:38

I have never been a "Boris Babe", but I have always voted Tory.

At the beginning of the thread (page two I think) I posted "^this is not the Conservatives finest hour^ . I have no idea why this person was thought fit to be employed by No.10 and I am relieved that he is no longer there.

(MaizieD GC bedtime routine is approximately 45 minutes, when they are here I spend my time with them and not studying every thread on GN)

suziewoozie Tue 18-Feb-20 08:49:48

Of course they are - BB are looking forward to a shining new future full of clever white people, money saved on silly attempts to prevent FGM, the end of taking disabled led sport seriously ( phew) and doing as they are told in the bedroom. Make no mistake, there are plenty more AS and their leader is of course BJ.

suziewoozie Tue 18-Feb-20 08:50:02

And of course DC

suziewoozie Tue 18-Feb-20 08:53:00

You did GG but a rather anaemic ambiguous post I must say - what was not their finest hour? Getting caught out? BJ not condemning him?The power of DC ? Or the actual comments?

growstuff Tue 18-Feb-20 08:56:12

GrannyGravy If you don't understand why Sabinsky was appointed by No 10, I'm afraid you haven't been following where the Conservative Party is heading. Unfortunately, the decent human beings within the Conservative Party (and, yes, I do believe there are some) have been voted out or resigned and allowed a bunch of amoral charlatans to take over.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 18-Feb-20 08:59:30

suziewoozie I had not looked at AS social media pages or had time to click on the links provided.

On checking for myself he appears to be a thoroughly odious person, and as I posted previously I am pleased/relieved he has gone.

Should BJ make a statement? probably but as we all know that is not the way he operates.

SirChenjin Tue 18-Feb-20 09:02:24

this is not the Conservatives finest hour^ . I have no idea why this person was thought fit to be employed by No.10 and I am relieved that he is no longer there

Not their finest hour? Relieved he’s no longer there?? I am speechless. If this sums up the average Tory voter’s view on what’s happening at No 10 and where they think this Govt are taking us then I despair. Do you honestly not understand what it is you’ve elected GG13?

suziewoozie Tue 18-Feb-20 09:06:01

So GG you are fine with his refusal to condemn these ‘odious’ views? And with DC’s power and views, and the silence of most Tory MPs? Is there no room for morality? But at least you’ve posted , unlike the rest of the GN Tories and I don’t recall you as being one of those who flung around words like. Corbynista etc

Greymar Tue 18-Feb-20 09:09:03

I have never heard " to church" as a verb.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 18-Feb-20 09:09:12

Having watched Dawn Butler Labour Deputy Leader hopeful pronounce in an interview with Richard Madely on GMB that babies are born without a biological sex and Rebecca Long Bailey male rapists who identify as women should be allowed to serve their sentences in women's priosons. Sirchenjin I worry about the alternative!!

GrannyGravy13 Tue 18-Feb-20 09:13:06

Suziewoozie I think there should be a statement from Downing Street, but I guess there will not be one.

I am a firm believer that any government needs a strong opposition to hold it to account, something which has been sadly lacking for the last 10-15 years (maybe even more)

Please do not think I am avoiding answering any more posts but I am off to sort /feed GC and then we are out for the day.

Greymar Tue 18-Feb-20 09:14:34

Ga ga, I don't thinl the getting rid of foreigners is really an option. Polish out/ Africans in. What a shame.

PernillaVanilla Tue 18-Feb-20 09:14:36

I see he is saying that he should not be criticised for views he expressed "years ago". I gather he is talking about 2014 - that is hardly historic. over the last few days I've been feeling increasingly purturbed by recent events. No PM visit to the flooded ares. They sent Theresa Villiers up there 2 days before she was sacked, and she refused to speak to local people - what message does that send out? There have been reports on television this morning that instead of expressing regret to the thousands who have been flooded yet again they are crowing on about how many did not get flooded.
The poor people left to their fate on the cruise ship and the continuing plight of the homeless, none of it is acceptable.

suziewoozie Tue 18-Feb-20 09:22:13

GG we are not discussing alternatives - we are discussing at least 4 more years of this. People like you who seem to at least care could be part of making what we have better. You can write to your MP ( if he’s a Tory) or write to BJ. We can all do something and if enough people do, things can change within. Generally those of us on the left on here, are much more willing to criticise our party. See the thread on the leadership contest. The GN Tories do not criticise BJ but bleat, give him a chance, As for DB, well Keir is the next leader.

growstuff Tue 18-Feb-20 09:24:27

I agree with you to an extent about the opposition GrannyGravy, although I also think that people need to look beyond the smears of the tabloids. Labour has some decent politicians, but the party itself needs to stop tearing itself apart and choose people whom voters will vote for.

At the moment, the Conservatives have a bunch of amoral, incompetent, lying sycophants. It really shouldn't be difficult to beat them. More shame Labour that it couldn't.

growstuff Tue 18-Feb-20 09:27:21

The ones to watch next are Priti Patel, Suella Braverman and John Whittingdale. They are committed to destroying the judiciary and abolishing the Human Rights Act. Add that to undercurrents of eugenics and it's a dangerous mix.

growstuff Tue 18-Feb-20 09:29:01

… and keep the pressure on to publish the Russia Report!

SirChenjin Tue 18-Feb-20 09:33:19

Let’s focus on the issue at hand GG13. RLB and DB have not said anything that is remotely on par with Sabisky’s vile, extremist views and Im astounded that you’re even attempting to equate them.

I repeat - do you actually understand what and who you voted into Government?

suziewoozie Tue 18-Feb-20 09:38:05

When GG comes back from GP duties, I hope she doesn’t feel ‘got at’.i do respect the fact that she’s prepared to engage with this thread. We have to ask her the questions because the rest of BB are in the fridge.

Blinko Tue 18-Feb-20 09:38:22

Has Johnson completely lost the plot or is he sticking two fingers up to the electorate?

Clearly the latter, as some of us predicted.

Greymar Tue 18-Feb-20 09:44:39

The Boris brigade are busy fawning over each other.

Parsley3 Tue 18-Feb-20 09:48:14

Indeed. I want BJ now to tell us his opinion on the current debacle and to restore a smidging of confidence in his judgement. Or is DC not allowing him to speak in public?
