1. They are all lying down in utter shock at how misled they have been or
2. They agree with all the comments but think maybe best not to say so atm or
3. They haven’t had time yet to coordinate their response and marshall their arguments yet but watch this space

He's on holiday in Kent.

This is what Dominic Cummings claimed in 2013:

"In one of the most controversial passages of the thesis, Cummings maintains that individual child performance is mainly based on genetics and a child's IQ rather than the quality of teaching.
He says: "There is strong resistance across the political spectrum to accepting scientific evidence on genetics. Most of those that now dominate discussions on issues such as social mobility entirely ignore genetics and therefore their arguments are at best misleading and often worthless." He claims research shows that as much as 70% of a child's performance is genetically derived."

Cummings claims that spending money on educating those with inferior genes is a waste of money.

He is wrong that there is definite scientific proof that genes are the most important indicator of academic performance. Even if genes do have some influence (and they undoubtedly do), it doesn't mean that every young person shouldn't be enabled to do his/her best. According to Cummings, they're not worth bothering about because he's only concerned with creating some kind of master race.

The silence from Boris’ Babes is deafening.

What happened to all the rhetoric about voting against the "elites"?

We have our PM talking about "good cornflakes" rising to the top as a result of their genes and Sabisky's views on eugenics. Cummings has said much the same thing on his blog and now Toby Young has pitched in to defend Sabisky.

How long will it take before those people who "lent" their vote to the Tories realise they've been conned? Their votes were only useful because they were a means to the end of making Johnson PM, as a personal vanity project.

I disagree suzie. There's something much more sinister behind this than petulance and childishness.

Johnson is lazy and possibly doesn't realise what he's unleashed, but in the end he employed Cummings - presumably to keep him in his job - and is responsible for what he does. Don't be fobbed by the bumbling.

PS. He re-employed John Whittingdale, presumably knowing full well why he was sacked last time. Carrie Symonds was Whittingdale's SpAd and must have known some of what was going on.

River I care about the silence of GN Tories because they are free with their criticism of a whole slew of Labour politicians and supporters on here. Most of them are uncritical adorants of BJ and are confident all will be well.

I would imagine some of them are a bit shell-shocked. Some of them in safe seats are complacent. Ironically, those are the ones Cummings seems to want to shock. I wonder if the people who voted for them knew what they were getting.

The tone of his sulky, petulant, ill tempered tweets and statements yesterday demonstrate that he’s just an immature nasty, prejudiced child - you can see the attraction for BJ - he could be one of his lost ‘love children’ ? Not a word of contrition or reflection ( from either ‘man’)
As for DC, he knew all about AS, of course he did, DC is just playing with the UK, it’s all a sardonic joke to him. Laughing at us, just testing how far he can go, what he can get away with. And the majority of supine, spineless Tories just sulk silently or nod whilst gurning and chanting. What a state we are in.

He's repeated some of them since he was 21, but he's deleted his Twitter account and some other evidence. The comments about sex and women, which The National uncovered, were on reddit. There also some comments Sabisky made on Dominic Cummings' blog. They weren't historic comments made by a youth. Dominic Cummings must have known his views.

All of it, including the subservience of women for sex, has echoes of the writings of Nazi and neo-Nazi "thinkers".

Before it was deleted, I read something on his website about the beauty of "churching" women after giving birth, as a way of God forgiving them for for the sin of having sex. My paternal grandmother was an Anglo-Catholic/High Anglican and was appalled that my mother refused to be churched after giving birth to me. Sabisky was/is still considered to be (or at least considers himself to be) some kind of church minister.

Another theme was about women only choosing the best males for their looks and intelligence. He blames women for some men not being able to attract a mate and claims women are manipulative, which is why they deserve to be made to do what their man wants during sex.

I'm not interested in what GN Tories think - more concerned that only a couple of their MPs spoke out.

Yes, it seemed as though because he said/wrote those things when he was 21 they somehow weren't offensive any longer. I'm not a lawyer, but surely some comments are/were incitement to hatred?

Well he's gone, and his website has disappeared, but not before it had been seen by many. Yes, why was he employed in the first place and why not sacked? I didn't see a comment from the PM anywhere. An apology perhaps?

Sabinsky was 20 when he made those comments, pretending to be a sex guru. It's more likely that they were the sexual fantasies of a wannabe dominant.

That explains the disappearance of his website. There were some very "edgy"* comments.

*I hope that's not libellous.

The GN Tories obvs

So it appears now that this little charmer went tonight because more is being published in the National tomorrow - vile comments about women, sex, rape fantasies etc. And still tge GM Tories are strangely silent.

This has the feel of the beginning of a long shocked silence about the doings of the Tory Government. It's surely dawning on those who voted for them, that they had no idea that this kind of thing was on their agenda. What those of us who didn't vote Tory got right, was to suspect that they were capable of behaving in this autocratic manner.

I too cannot wait to see DC on his way out of No 10 and very visibly with a police escort.

I wonder what the size of his pay off was? I think we should be told.

He may have gone thank goodness but as others have said he shouldn't have been appointed in the first place. His comments were already on record.

Johnson has form for not condemning outright racist comments. When he was editor of the "Spectator", a columnist wrote,

""Orientals ... have larger brains and higher IQ scores. Blacks are at the other pole." In another, he described black American bastketball players as having "arms hanging below their knees and tongues sticking out".

He did eventually apologise, but he was the editor and they were written on his watch.

Andrew Trabisky closed his website, "The Young Tractarians", this afternoon/early evening. Shame, because it was a primary source of what this man is all about.

I find it very difficult to believe that he was given a senior role without doing some preliminary checks on his background and beliefs.

I find it perturbing that he was allowed to resign and was not sacked immediately

If he can’t stand the heat of a character assassination then he should learn to keep his vile mouth shut and his fingers off the keyboard.

No 10 still refusing to condemn him I see. Tory voters should hang their heads in shame - or publicly denounce this revolting rhetoric.

DC must have some real enemies in the party.SJ for one. My guess is that their mantra is ‘Revenge is a dish best eaten cold’.
