Private jet from UK turned back by the French. Passengers flouting the travel rules

The French have turned back a private jet from the UK carrying holiday makers who had rented a private villa.

The demographics are interesting - Croatian, German, French, Ukranian and Roumanian. 7 men aged between 40 and 50 and 3 women aged between 23 and 25. The landed at Marseilles, despite being told not to, where 3 helicopters were waiting to meet them.

Having left the UK perhaps they won't be allowed back in.

Would they have been able to follow the 2 metres distance rules. Could the villa have become a cv-19 hotspot?

I read this this morning and I drew my own , probably way off the mark, conclusions when I read the age and nationalities of the passengers.
I realise I am very open to criticism but those were my thoughts.

Same as Annsixty
Struck me straight away but the ratio seemed odd.
I have a mucky mind. Too long in lock down.

Private jet eh ?

Bravo La France. No messing around.

Same for me but I didn't like to voice them. Feel sorry for the women but perhaps they were there just to cook. How one's mind works!

Crikey! I thought the same thing, maybe it was just an extended family?
Oh dear, I need to get out more

You are all correct in your thinking and yes bravo France!

Seven men and three young female escorts
Please don't let the men back into the UK.
The women may be complicit or may not and need to be asked.

Agree with others, sounds very dodgy indeed!

Barmeyoldbat Fri 10-Apr-20 15:47:14

Agree Callistemon dodgy and the women do need to be asked.

Callistemon Fri 10-Apr-20 15:48:09

And he tried to bribe his way out of it!

Rosalyn69 Fri 10-Apr-20 15:48:13

I’d bet they were complicit or well paid or both.
