Are you sure, Harry?

Not about your decision to cut and run from your country and family.
Not about bleating that you feel guilty about isolating in a multi-million pound mansion in LA during Lockdown.
Not about suggesting to frazzled parents that they should celebrate the moment, rolling around the floor in hysterics. confused

But....When you made that call asking for money generated by your wedding to be used for feeding children during the pandemic, are you really sure it was the Archbishop of Canterbury who picked up the phone?? grin

I think it's usually intentional damage! Certainly was in the case of Diana!!!

coggie Wed 22-Apr-20 20:01:31

Thanks for the History lesson, in common parlance I believe it means a person who is out of control.

I can give you plenty of example of male members of the RF who couldn't and can't keep it in their pants ie out of control.

As for the vile hatred of a dead woman and her son and by default his choice of partner well, nothing to say really.

GrannyLaine Wed 22-Apr-20 20:45:40

If the "History lesson" comment is aimed at me coggie I was merely answering your question. I felt very sorry for Diana, but she was indeed a loose cannon within the Royal family. I can acknowledge that with absolutely no vile hatred for her (or anyone for that matter) 'Loose cannon' isn't really about being out of control, its more about not having the self awareness to see the consequence of your actions. And Harry does seem to have that trait .
I'm not sure your reference to male members of the Royal Family has any relevance in the context of this thread

Anniebach Wed 22-Apr-20 21:03:17

Well said GrannyLaine the usual ‘hatred accusations ‘ are rubbish.

coggie Wed 22-Apr-20 21:13:43

No , Annie, you do hate, It's deperately sad but there we have it.

I wonder how much self awareness Charles had? Marrying when he had another one on the go?

Did any of you have self awareness at 19?

Not about Harry, just to say there are some lovely pictures of Prince Louis today, a welcome break from all the doom and gloom. I'll probably get shot down in flames by the republicans for such a comment. About to turn 2 anytime, a real little boy now takes after his mother looks wise.

lynn56 Thu 23-Apr-20 09:42:59

Surely it’s very simple whatever we do or don’t think about Harry — hasn’t he given up the right to make comment about what is going on in the UK by leaving ? He can’t have it both ways!

Anniebach Thu 23-Apr-20 09:43:56

They are lovely photographs, sweet little chap , happy birthday

Calendargirl Thu 23-Apr-20 09:44:08

Yes Terribull

Have always thought Louis takes after Catherine’s father in looks, more so than the other two.

Chestnut Thu 23-Apr-20 09:46:23

Whereas Charlotte looks just like the Queen!

TerriBull Thu 23-Apr-20 09:50:02

Yes I agree Chestnut, Charlotte does look like the Queen, and young Archie looks like grandad, Thomas Markle imo.

Sparklefizz Thu 23-Apr-20 10:01:33

Lovely natural photos of Louis this morning. They brought a smile to my face.

Jabberwok Thu 23-Apr-20 10:20:24

Oh Yes! Happy birthday to Prince Louis! Gorgeous photos of this little boy. Charlotte certainly does look like the Queen! It's almost spooky! I think Prince George looks slightly anxious sometimes!! Bit like P.C!! As well he might though, almost as if he knows what lies ahead for him, poor little boy!
Archie, looking like Thomas Markle?!!! I don't think that comparison would go down very well in a certain quarter!!!!

Anniebach Thu 23-Apr-20 11:05:51

I think George is shy, unlike his sister , it was the same with
Charles and Anne

MawB Thu 23-Apr-20 11:09:36

Wondering cynically what H&M will be publishing today to (try to) outshine the lovely pics of little Louis ???

Chewbacca Thu 23-Apr-20 11:12:32

This is an extract from a piece in the Guardian today. Whilst most of the article is both supportive and understanding as to why M & H have taken their decision, I think the final paragraph is succinct and illustrates how many of us feel about them:

They could have continued in self-isolation, far away in LA. But in the time of Covid-19 their actions look both petty and grandiose. Some much vaunted emotional intelligence would be appropriate from the couple now. The privacy they desire would be more achievable if they undertook a period of extended silence.

Jabberwok Thu 23-Apr-20 11:26:00

So say all (most) of us!

Blinko Thu 23-Apr-20 11:27:27

I too thought the photos of Prince Louis were adorable. Very like his mother in the looks department.

As for H&M, at first I was a fan, I thought they would bring a breath of fresh air to the RF. Now, meh!

maddyone Thu 23-Apr-20 11:43:37

Chewbacca
But do they really want quiet privacy? It would be so easy to achieve if they do.

Beautiful photos of little Louis today. I hope he has a very happy birthday.

sodapop Thu 23-Apr-20 12:19:35

Yes waiting with bated breath MawB they really can't help themselves.

coggie Thu 23-Apr-20 12:24:36

Louis looks adorable.

JenniferEccles Thu 23-Apr-20 12:49:48

What a gorgeous little boy!
He looks quite grown up for a little chap only just two.

He has inherited his mum’s lovely thick hair.

I also wonder what the Sussexes will post. Some virtue signalling nonsense no doubt.

Anniebach Thu 23-Apr-20 12:57:57

Meg understands elephants, she has had hands on experience
with them in their natural habitat! ! ! !

merlotgran Thu 23-Apr-20 13:03:33

I think it was the journalist Jan Moir who said she could understand Meghan relating to elephants as both have large heads and small brains. grin

Chestnut Thu 23-Apr-20 14:26:19

Still nothing from H&M today. Maybe they missed a beat here, and are having a duvet day by mistake!
