Tokenism? Really?

Liz Truss has been defending the lack of women in the daily briefings.

I have been wondering this myself. Women seem to be dropped in now and then when it becomes too painfully obvious that there have not been any women about for a while. However Truss seems determined to back up the government and says that if she was asked it would be 'tokenism'. However she has a wide brief and could quite justifiably have a lot to say on the present dire situation. I sometimes think that women are their own worst enemies.
