SubscribeNews breaking tonight that Dominic Cummings and his wife, when ill with Covid-19, put their child in the car and drove 260 miles from London to Durham so that they could isolate at his parent's place and his parents look after the child. This happened some time after 27th March. Remember lockdown was imposed on 23rd March.
Seen in his parent's garden with his child on 5th April.
Neil Fergusson resigned because his lover visited his house after lockdown.
Scotland's Chief Medical Officer had to resign after visiting her second home twice after lockdown.
Cummings and his wife drive 260 miles to stay with his parents (who must be in their 60s at the very least)... What will he do?

Story is in most of the MSM now.
They all say they aren't resigning, until they realise they have no choice.
Hope he's sacked, the selfish hypocrite.
I’ve given up trying to imagine the depths to which this Government will sink - there simply aren’t any depths low enough.
Liars and hypocrites every last one of the tory government, you only have to watch the briefing to see they dont believe a word they're saying and with a leader like Boris the liar why would they .What the hell is in the water in England that people think this disgrace of a government
is doing a good job ?
As to Cath Calderwood I think you'll find even the most fervent of SNP supporter was adamnant she needed to go ,so why no tories shouting for Cummings to get the elbow?
I think there were people on here defending calderwood.
Thats as maybe Miss but the vast majority wanted to lynch her. Strange how silent the GN right wing are on this, isn’t it ? I expect they’ll be along soon once they’ve got their ducks in a row. I expect it’s all Cobyn’s fault.
Resign from what? I didn't know he was part of the government.
He should be at least fined, if not jailed, for traveling when he and his wife knew they had the virus.
Hmm. Avowed leftie here and no fan of Cummings. But let’s play devil’s advocate....
Both parents of a 4 year old child have definite symptoms. We’re told one at least is out of it, seriously ill. The rules say said people should stay at home, self-isolating, not even leaving the house for essentials.
So what happens to the 4 year old in this scenario?
This is a genuine question. I could imagine that in this situation, my family would break lockdown and come to self-isolate here, rather than put that child at serious risk.

And read this - someone’s lying
Maggie with all their money and contacts and probably a nanny in the wings - come on. The only option was to drive over 250 miles to older parents? Did they all wear nappies on the journey? And read the article and listen to her broadcast? Spin and lies
I saw a video diaries programme on tv a couple of weeks ago which showed families coping with having the virus, self isolating and looking after their children at the same time. None of them moved in with another family. Surely Cummings with his great knowledge of epidemiology must have known that children can be asymptomatic? And that his parents were high risk.
Well, I would presume the parents would be able to muddle through looking after the child.
Single parents have always managed, Maggie
When you have the money and contacts they have, getting child care/nursing care is only a bank transfer away
The usual government apologists will be along to say it’s all fine, they had to have free childcare after all . We know they are all at it. Just imagine the hooha if it had been Corbyn. Cummings was the one who wanted herd immunity , for the U.K. to carry on as normal to save the economy. A few pensioners dying was nothing to worry about. He obviously included his family in that. Nice.
Gramaretto Cummings isn't a civil servant. If he were, he'd have to follow a code of conduct and be more accountable. He's a Special Adviser (SpAd), which means he's a political appointee, employed directly by the government.
This is the reason that so many people are ignoring or bending the governments latest “advice”. I’m inviting family members into my garden for a distanced chat. Report me if you like.
I’m wondering how he travelled whilst infected, and who he infected on the way? I hope those poor souls are OK. and there isn’t a family or families mourning the loss of a loved one.
Wow - I've never seen such vitriol towards a man who has had the Virus. I don't know him, only from what I read on here and the news but it seems you all want to hang, draw and quarter him.
He's done wrong so fine him like they have other people and can I just remind Labour supporters that Keith Vaz did far worse and was allowed to "retire" in 2019. Hypocrisy rules.
Seem to recall at the start of this that the byline was Be Kind.
Every time a celebrity/public person has been caught breaking the rules we are told "They've been spoken to by the police" and that seems to be it.
I read somewhere that 14,000 people had been fined - I wonder what they'd done to warrant the fine - I hope it was for more than sitting on a bench or visiting a relative.
Cummings and his wife were reckless, as they both had the illness- a relative should have come to them if they were so ill they couldn't look after one child. And if they were so ill how did they drive all that way?
Two wrongs don’t make a right riverwalk. No one is defending the ghastly Keith Vaz either. Is he making the government policy?
Be kind is now used to mean shut up.
People have lost their livelihoods because they have done the right thing and stayed at home, whether they were infectious or not.
Cummings is the worst sort of Hypocrite, this will encourage more people to now ignore Government advice.
I don't think he should resign. I think he should be sacked.
Absolutely sick to the back teeth of "experts", professionals and politicians telling us what we should and should not do and the penalties of us not doing what we're told, only for them to do what the hell they like. What has been the point of the rest of us following the advice given by the experts if the government don't? Cummings can't claim special circumstances; we've all got special circumstances. Should be sacked immediately.
Be kind MRGUDER? Cummings wasn't being "kind" when he got in his car, knowing he and his wife were infected with the virus, drove hundreds of miles across the country and risked infecting other people along the way. Thousands of ordinary people have been fined by the police because they dared to sit on a park bench and eat a sandwich. Why is Cummings a special case?

Dillie Keane song for Dominic Cummings on you tube in case link doesn’t work
" Do as I say not as I do " is a familiar phrase among those in higher places and it used to make my blood boil many years ago among the more militant within the nursing profession.
There used to be that many " bosses " within the organisation that in the 70's/80's I'd had sacked the lot of them without compunction.
How would I have been classed if I'd have been in the situation to have done so ? Anyone who crosses over the line has no business to be employed let alone in a supposed high position.
I'm the " knuckle-under " type or clear off sort of person and can't be doing with those who flout the rules. Stop giving orders if you can't show by example.
I don't and never have got on with such people. The " too many cooks " syndrome ".
I was in the nursing union and they were as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike as I used to bring this subject up many a time but it fell on deaf ears----I wonder why ?
Those who told you one thing yet did another were to my mind, ripe for sacking, but it never happened.
They were usually horrible people too !!
