Anyone like to guess what the rabble will attempt to do to divert our attention away from Cummings?

My guess is that they are desperate to find something, - anything.

No thanks to the Daily Mail whose divisions in society has all but succeeded creating the bile and hatred it set out to do.

It's a paper which has been set out for the airheads who read it stating that getting out of lockdown will be quick and children will be back at school next week, 1st of June. False hope !!
This is farcical since testing won't have been done and there'd be no knowing who was carrying the virus. If children are going to be 2 or so metres apart what about the rest of the class when so many are only allowed in a classroom ?

The whole scenario/organisation is completely off the wall when you have the government, its advisers and scientists/ medical officers all giving differing views on the coronavirus and how to go about life in its midst.

I'm not in the band of Sheeples Nanna58, sorry.

Welshwife Sun 24-May-20 10:22:30

Are we sure that the Cummings story is not the one hiding something they wish to slide through with no scrutiny?

Nanna58 Sun 24-May-20 10:24:57

Jabberwock, don’t care if it was tongue in cheek or not( although I suspect it wasn’t!) it’s the best laugh I’ve had in weeks! Those pesky Brexiteers sneaking bats, snakes, and lizards into those Chinese’s wet markets- and I thought Trump was the master of looney conspiracy theories ??

Nandalot Sun 24-May-20 10:26:10

Welshwife, that is a chilling thought.

MaizieD Sun 24-May-20 10:27:23

Possibly its a dead cat in itself as the Sunday Times has, today, published fresh evidence of the dither and delay which led up to the late imposition of lockdown and many unnecessary deaths.

Unfortunately it's behind a paywall

MaizieD Sun 24-May-20 10:29:30

Though the possibility of the Daily Mirror and the Guardian publishing a dead cat story at the government's request does seem a trifle unlikely...

EllanVannin Sun 24-May-20 10:31:17

Wow, the Times is well behind there as I said this on here at the beginning of March. Fresh evidence my eye, they're hoping peoples memories aren't so fresh.

Nanna58 Sun 24-May-20 10:51:48

I didn’t suggest you were in the band of the ‘sheeples’ EllenVanin, but I am saying you’ve managed to become wildly deluded, probably without any outside help!

MaizieD Sun 24-May-20 10:54:29

I think the Sunday Times is following up on the article they published on the same theme a few weeks ago, EV.

Shame about the paywall

Maybe Cummings is the "dead cat" and the real issue is deaths in care homes www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31199-5/fulltext

Whitewavemark2 Quote [Anyone seen Larry lately???] End Quote.

I have it on good authority that Larry the Downing Street cat has been self-isolating due to having come into contact with Dominic Cummings.

Cats also being very clean animals, it is being said that Larry has not stopped licking and cleaning every inch of his fur since coming into contact with what looks to be that very unhygienic person. ?

growstuff Sun 24-May-20 13:46:02

trisher I've been wondering that. I think Cummings is the dead cat. Whether he goes or not he goes, he'll still be behind the scenes with Gove and Matthew Elliot. They've already done a huge amount of damage, most noticeably handing public contracts to private businesses.

Meanwhile, there are some important bills coming up, such as the Agriculture Bill, which will affect British farming for a lifetime. Trade deals are continuing and those with the US are frightening. Other news is taking second fiddle.

kircubbin2000 Sun 24-May-20 14:10:18

Larry was on the news earlier lying near Boris car.

Lucca Sun 24-May-20 14:42:14

Oh lord is the cat lying too ? It must be contagious

MamaCaz Sun 24-May-20 15:14:21

Lucca ???

growstuff Sun 24-May-20 15:30:06

Larry is judging an art competition on Twitter

Dinahmo Mon 25-May-20 18:24:21

Grandad1943 Let's hope that Cummings didn't pick Larry up and stroke him. Poor cat wouldn't stand a chance of being safe from covid.

trisher Mon 25-May-20 18:30:08

Maybe Larry will leave Downing Street and go off to his home in the country.

lemongrove Mon 25-May-20 18:55:38

Apparently, according to posters on GN ( who’s words I trust and believe totally)wink Dominic Cummings is...evil, manipulative and various other charming things, and is also now, unhygenic! ? Well, he should definitely be sacked then.
After watching his interview today, he seems the least Svengali like person I’ve ever come across, a bit of a disappointment really.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-May-20 06:42:40

All an act lemon

Whitewavemark2 Sun 31-May-20 11:17:42

You no longer have to guess.

This weekends totally irresponsible easing of the lockdown.

It against all scientific advise. The idiot duo are hoping this will divert attention away from there lies and fraud.

Are we such fools as they think?

Jabberwok Sun 31-May-20 14:09:38

Do you really think that all those people crowding every open space available would have meekly stayed at home or practised social distancing over this hot w/end if lock down was still being truly implemented?!! That those very foolish young men would have stayed away from Durdle Door? If you really think that then you are extremely naive!! You've simply got to allow a bit of flexibility, people will take it anyway, DC , MP's notwithstanding!

GrannyGravy13 Sun 31-May-20 14:24:12

There are 21 scientists on SAGE, along with Dr.Warner a medical statistician. (22)

Four have said they would not ease lockdown I assume that means the other 18 agree with the gradual reopening of the UK.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 31-May-20 14:36:36

gg13 no you can’t assume that. If you based your decisions on assumption it would be very poor indeed

Look at the leadership shown by Merkel, Macron and Adern to name a very few. Look how the respective countries respected the lockdown message and how much lower their infection rate is.

We desperately lack strong consistent and knowledgeable leadership.
