Protesters are not generally stupid and they like to observe the rules of hygiene as much as anyone else. However there is not much use in recovering from this pandemic unless we form a better society after the virus has retreated.

It seems many don’t want a “better” society.
They want it to go back to what it was.

The UK has to stand by its history both good and bad tearing down statues and monuments cannot eradicate the past.
