So now she's toast?

This is not a Meghan bashing thread before the usual posters jump on me. It's merely an observation.

Jessica Mulroney, Meghan's BFF has been dropped from all her professional roles, TV shows and lots of other stuff I don't know (or care) anything about.

This is because of an online spat with a BLM supporting 'influencer'. Mulroney's response to criticism that she neglected to use her 'platform' to support the protests following George Floyd's death, was perceived as nasty and maybe a bit threatening.

Flippin' heck! WW3 broke out and now the woman behind MM - her unofficial spokeswoman, who largely organised the wedding, whose twin sons carried the train into the chapel, who is probably one of Archie's secret godparents and who looked after him when Harry and Meghan briefly returned to the UK post Megxit has fallen from grace in such a shocking way that MM has cut her adrift, not wishing to be associated with a tarnished image. This has all happened in the space of a few days. Phew!

So much for friendship!

J wouldn't want to see

I am not drunk honestlygrin. I was about to day I wouldn't want to see a Meghan bashing post if this is an example of one that's not.

Most people would be loyal to their friends. From the media point of view it often seems as if Meghan is loyal only of people do exactly as she wants/expects.

I hope she’s happy but so doubt she is because her expectations are too unrealistic to be possible. If it’s true I wonder how the friend and her family feel?

Sparklefizz Sat 13-Jun-20 09:25:17

It has been reported several times in the past that Meghan drops "friends"/boyfriends/husbands once they have outlived their usefulness. Loyal she is not!

merlotgran Sat 13-Jun-20 09:28:11

I think this is an example of just how shallow the world of celebrity really is.

JM had huge influence. I doubt Meghan would have had so many open doors without her.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 13-Jun-20 09:30:36

This is what obsession looks like.

merlotgran Sat 13-Jun-20 09:33:53

I thought you might be getting bored, WW2

It didn't take you long to rise to the bait.

PamelaJ1 Sat 13-Jun-20 09:33:59

Seems to happen quite a bit. I except the PR people step in to give advice.
Daniel , Rupert, Eddie and Emma couldn’t denounce JK Rawlings comments the other day quickly enough. They have distanced themselves from her.

merlotgran Sat 13-Jun-20 09:37:33

And where would they be without her, PamelaJI?

Anniebach Sat 13-Jun-20 09:56:06

Megan is mortified , hope the Windsors asks her if she is ok.

maddyone Sat 13-Jun-20 09:57:11

Why is it bashing Meghan? Surely it’s just reporting what has happened.

merlotgran Sat 13-Jun-20 10:22:17

Clips of the wedding will now show the radiant bride, who was already planning to leave the RF before she'd even entered it, followed by page boys who are now cut out of her life, their mother who is now persona non grata and Oprah who will either be advising MM on her next move or keeping her head below the parapet.

Where does Harry figure in all this?

Callistemon Sat 13-Jun-20 10:31:34

I wouldn't normally comment but this doesn't surprise me in the least.

It could, however, be an advantageous thing to include on a CV that you have been sacked or dropped by the Duchess of Sussex.

eazybee Sat 13-Jun-20 10:37:44

This thread made me laugh; thank you Merlotgran and Aniebach. grin

Anniebach Sat 13-Jun-20 10:42:25

merlot who is Harry ? ?

merlotgran Sat 13-Jun-20 10:45:58

Good point, Anniebach.

I think he might be the bloke who is tasked with handing MM the fly swat every time she wants to get rid of an annoying hanger on.

merlotgran Sat 13-Jun-20 10:47:39

I'm watching the rather sad little Trooping the Colour at Windsor.

Usually my favourite Royal occasion. sad

Anniebach Sat 13-Jun-20 10:56:14

Oh that Harry merlot he should make a speech sharpish or he will be toast.

I too am watching Trooping The Colour, she has such dignity

sodapop Sat 13-Jun-20 12:24:48

Regarding J K Rowling they were very quick to bite the hand that fed them. Seems public image is everything.

Jane10 Sat 13-Jun-20 12:52:14

Callistemon re CVs grin

merlotgran Sat 13-Jun-20 13:22:32

If Jessica needs a replacement income, now she is free to tell us her side of the story about the letter Meghan sent to her dad, plus she knows lots of other home truths about Meghan. If I were Meghan, I would have wanted to keep her onside. Meghan seems to have a habit of losing friends and family. Better watch out Harry, when your usefulness is coming to an end.
