One would have thought that far right protesters would not be anti police. Why can’t they have a peaceful protest?

Davidhs Sun 14-Jun-20 08:31:37

Leftist protestors would call the police fascists for trying to keep order, in exactly the same way. So the police get it from any angry mob, it does not matter, the police are preventing the from doing what they want. Supporters of BLM have attacked police and done criminal damage as well.

Unfortunately violence will always bring more violence. I don't think it was priveledged lives these young men had that made them so angry. Perhaps we should look at the root cause and not be so judgemental. I am not just talking about white men I am talking about all young men who grow up in adverse circumstances they are powerless to change.

Furret Sun 14-Jun-20 08:03:33

The sharp contrast between the BLM supporters standing in quiet dignified protest and these Neanderthal thugs says it all.

The first have a genuine message they wish to get across.

The second are looking for a confrontation.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 14-Jun-20 07:48:56

The last time those thugs were out in number was before the election chanting Johnsons name.

He didn’t distance himself from them then, and he hasn’t done so yet.

I don’t think the Police should have taken ‘the knee’. It sent out a solidarity message - a political one. They are there to uphold law and order. No more, no less.

As individuals they can do whatever they like when not in uniform.

I wonder, if it got out of hand and the army were sent in to assist, would any of them take ‘the knee’? I think not.

The irony of a nazi salute at Churchill's statue - they really are thick!

vegansrock Sun 14-Jun-20 06:12:51

Who thought it a good idea to “defend” Churchill’s statue by giving nazi salutes? They weren’t defending it from anyone as the anti racist demo had been the day before. True scum.

paddyanne Sun 14-Jun-20 00:47:33

picture of a group of these wonderful men who want to save statues on FB ,one in a bikini who had peed himself and one carrying a flag that had Britain spelled wrongly on it...couldn't make it up could you.
If this is the best their organisation can offer we're all in deep do do

Dollymc2 Sun 14-Jun-20 00:31:06

So a member of these neanderthals, decided to urinate on PC Keith Palmer,s memorial
I am beyond disgusted

Starblaze Sun 14-Jun-20 00:13:37

I happened across an image of a protester fiercely protecting historical monuments.... Peeing on said monument. I can't imagine that the monument is the important thing in his mind.

Dollymc2 Sat 13-Jun-20 22:41:00

I am mortified that these disgusting scenes have been viewed around the world
The far right are on the rise. Those Union Jack waving, shaven head, Brexit loving neanderthals were spoiling for a fight
Contrasting it to the respectful 'taking the knee' demonstrations, it was the worst of us

Maggiemaybe Sat 13-Jun-20 22:40:09

The far-right are like a red rag to a bull towards the police because they know that police are racists but won't own up to it.

Apart from not making an ounce of sense, this must be one of the nastiest comments I have ever seen on Gransnet.

Callistemon Sat 13-Jun-20 22:30:41

Well, perhaps when people are back at work.
If they still have a job.

Are you saying that those out on the streets are all football supporters?
I doubt it very much. They are all watching the old matches on the TV.

Barmeyoldbat Sat 13-Jun-20 22:24:15

Mr B said it will all stop when the football starts again!!

Callistemon Sat 13-Jun-20 21:57:28

Hetty58

I always think of the range of political views as an almost closed circle. At the top we have the far right and left. They are, in fact, very similar - with their extreme views and inclination towards violence.

At the bottom of the circle are the majority, the 'middles' who tend to lean slightly to the right or left.

Absolutely right, sorry correct, Hetty58.
The extreme left meets the extreme right at some point.

Moderates are at home observing the lockdown rules or are busy working in key jobs.

Anniebach Sat 13-Jun-20 21:52:00

Did the same man do all those acts ?

vegansrock Sat 13-Jun-20 21:42:21

Nothing shows how patriotic you are than chanting In-ger-land, Waving a Union Jack , giving a nazi salute at a Churchill statue and pissing on a police memorial. Makes you proud eh?

MotherHubbard Sat 13-Jun-20 21:24:34

John Cleese (@JohnCleese) Tweeted: Hard to tell if I recorded this 30 years or 10 minutes ago... t.co/GPDURhYIJL This explains it perfectly I think

Riverwalk Sat 13-Jun-20 19:33:24

Thank you GrannyGravy smile

Sussexborn Sat 13-Jun-20 19:29:59

For the same reason as far left supporters I would guess. They are morons out looking for bovver!

GrannyGravy13 Sat 13-Jun-20 19:23:55

Apologies Riverwalk

Moonlight113 Sat 13-Jun-20 19:13:51

Whitewavemark2 Sat 13-Jun-20 19:10:20

I think the op should read

Why do far right protestors attack everyone in their way.?

Riverwalk Sat 13-Jun-20 19:06:48

GrannyGravy13

Riverwalk please do not tarnish all football supporters with the ^Football Lads Alliance^

I didn't do any such thing.

I'm a football supporter.

Oopsminty Sat 13-Jun-20 19:05:22

They were vewy vewy cross because the statues were all covered up and they couldn't be big brave boys

?

Dear me.

If we're going down that route should it not be 'bwave'?
