I think you did right to report it, Bluebelle.

I'm sorry if I didn't recognise the username as a regular poster and wouldn't have followed the link without a short explanation. Having had a device infected by a virus it's not worth the risk.

I agree with lemon and MaryDoll. I never click on links that I’m unsure of, too many phishing scams etc, and I’m afraid I didn’t recognise the op.

As we have had a number of scam pms and posts on GN, recently, I would never click on a link, without knowing what it was about. The hyperlink could have related to something dodgy, we had no way of knowing.☹️

It's a pity, because I'm sure more posters would have read it, if they had known what the subject was.

I don’t agree May7 .....I didn’t recognise the poster, and all I saw was a blued link to something that could have been anything at all.
Always best to have a least a line of explanation with a link then more people know it’s genuine.

GG65 if you made some effort by way of placing some explanation text alongside your opening posted link you may find that more forum members will make an effort to view it.

However, why should you expect others to support your laziness?

The post required no explanation. The video was self explanatory and the fact that you did not comment made it more moving for me. Not every post requires a long winded narrative to accompany it. I saw this last night before I went to sleep and found it very sad. Thanks for posting. Your point was made perfectly

My post is genuine.

I have been horrified at some of the comments I’ve seen on here over the past week. Some blatantly racist views, but the comments denying the existence of racism are equally as dangerous.

I believe the video to be incredibly powerful, however, think that some will still chose not to see...

I don't think it's a wind up thread at all. It does replicate the original tests done in the USA in the 1940s which I saw many years ago. Given the current climate it's very relevant, and should open some eyes. And as MaizieD says, very sad.

MaizieD Sun 14-Jun-20 10:29:02

I've had a look at the link. It's a video about coloured children and racism.
The poster is a regular GNet poster. I was suspicious, too, but I did bother to check it out.

It's an interesting video. Very sad, too.

Another "wind up" thread that the opening poster will no doubt never return to.

If someone cannot even make an effort to add a comment to a posted link, then that states it all with me in regards to that forum member and her or his intentions.

Sorry if it’s genuine but with no explanation it could be anything
