Confined = confirmed
Has anyone else done anything as daft as this?
Sometimes it’s just the small things that press the bruise isn’t it? 😢

The news about the murdered sisters in London, the police's first lack of action then the photographs taken at the scene must have shocked everyone. The dignified and measured interview their mother has given couldn't fail to impress. So is she right can these photographs be compared with those taken at lynchings in the US? And is this the real proof that there is still racism in the police?
Confined = confirmed
HQ won’t delete it. But I am beyond shocked at some of the posts on here - this is a public forum and letting them stand or at least go uncriticised sends a very clear message about the sort of attitudes some posters have on such issues and implicitly are confined by GN. That would give comfort and encouragement to the racists out there reading those contributions.
Oh great another thread deleted? Can't we just leave the inaccurate racist comments so others can see what complete prats some people are.
I’ve asked HQ to look at this thread re some of the posts. I’m not holding my breath
Thank you Chew for your post - it’s what I thought was the case and I think there have been sone very cruel, callous unthinking posts ( to be charitable ) on here. I was shocked by two early posters who waded in without having the common decency to even bother to check the story out first re the photographing of the bodies which were then shared on a WhatsApp group I believe with other officers and civilians. Quite frankly, if members of the local police could do that and clearly feel safe in so doing, it does make me think that at least in that area there could well be a problem with attitudes towards BAME amongst some local officers.
I am absolutely certain that if two white women with professional backgrounds had gone missing, something would, could and should have been done sooner. And selfies would not have been taken. Some posters on here need to re-read their posts and have a good look at themselves - done posts should be deleted imo. And it might interest any Christians on this thread to know their mother was the first BAME archdeacon in the C of E. That poor poor women - her two children murdered and then she finds out about the photos. I hope to God she never sees this thread.
As for the two policemen, they have been arrested. I hope as well that any other police officer who received the photos and did nothing is also arrested.
tickingbird a boyfriend found the bodies. Here's their mother talking about it www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-53200019/wembley-park-murders-emotional-interview-with-mum-of-sisters-found-dead
She is an incredible woman.
The taking of selfies with the bodies of these poor women is beyond disgusting and I hope the officers concerned lose their jobs at the very least. However, I have followed this case so far and I haven’t read anywhere that they were found by their own family. I read that a member of the public alerted the police and that other people hadn’t done so as they thought they were sleeping.
Let’s hope the maniac that did this is soon found.
wondering what injuries the two women could have inflicted on the murderer
all the police have said is that it was a stranger who would have injuries.
so doesn't sound like they have identified a suspect.
presumably they have dna from the assailant's blood at the scene. so not on the police national database. that makes it v difficult. and i guess they will have checked people known to the sisters.
That was my thought lemon, though of course, it's possible the police have no suspects but don't want to heighten anxiety in the area by suggesting an unstable individual capable of murder is in the area.
wellbeck's information is relevant -we've all seen police investigations hampered by a number of different forces being involved.
The police may already suspect somebody Chewbacca.
Precisely Iam64; but I've seen very little on the national news warning of that; which seems a bit unusual in the circumstances.
it would not have been that difficult to walk through the area.
it is a large area, but the party was in a well used part, not too far from an entrance in a road.
the police would have been informed of all this.
the sisters did not live with their mother.
they were grown up.
the one whose party it was lived nearby in wembley.
the other one lived in the next borough, harrow.
her partner reported them missing, i believe.
it is thought they died in the early hours of saturday, after 2am.
Let's hope that the disgusting behaviour by the two first responding officers leads those involved in the investigation to go the extra mile.
Two women murdered by stabbing in a park is terrifying. As others have said - is there a dangerous psychopath in the area, who poses a huge risk to any woman?
Most murders are committed by people known to the victims.
If the murders took place in the night and the person who
found the bodies picked up the knife the police have very little to work on.
I've seen very little in the news about who the police might be looking for, has anyone else? Surely they must have some clues as to who he is?
As the mother of two daughters I just cannot imagine the dreadful suffering of their poor mother.
It is strange, SueDonim. Did the others go home and leave them there and they were just enjoying a bit longer there together? Then some random stranger who just happened to be carrying a knife came upon two older women and killed them?
The fact that one was a senior social worker rings an alarm bell with me too.
As I pointed out above, it's not a municipal park, its hundreds of acres of countryside.
That poor family, it is devastating.
RIP Nicole and Bibaa
I was thinking that the mother is a confirmed Christian so perhaps would have been more worried on the Sunday morning when her daughters didn't contact her or perhaps go to church and that is why they began their own search.
The mother is amazing.
From www.missingpeople.org.uk
The circumstances surrounding a disappearance can differ greatly and so too can the role of the police in a missing persons investigation. There could be any number of reasons behind a disappearance which is why you should contact the police straight away if you are at all concerned about the safety and wellbeing of the person who has disappeared.
To do this, you can contact your local police station in person or by phone. You can report to your own local police station even if the missing person lives in another part of the UK. You can make a report to the police immediately – you do NOT have to wait until 24 hours after a disappearance. In an emergency you can contact 999.
Once you have made a report, what the police do will depend on the circumstances of the disappearance and how much they consider the missing person to be at risk. They will assess the level of risk by considering the missing person’s age, the circumstances of their disappearance, whether this is out of character, and whether they need medication or treatment.
Was the woman who claims to have seen the bodies but thought they were sleeping so didn’t report it, racist ?
trisher you know most people are way past phoning to report a missing person? you need the facts before posting
again.
The figures released by the Met, 55000 reported missing a year
The action of those two police officers was absolutely disgusting and I am sure they will be dealt with accordingly.
Those who bring racism into this is not right as we can't know that was an issue and it shouldn't reflect on the whole of the police force.
Nobody seems very concerned that there is a murderer of two women out there. That is something to be very worried about.
Police numbers are low and they would not have gone looking for 2 grown women immediately as most adults will turn up later.
Annie most are way past just telephoning. These women were not in contact on social media and were last seen in an exposed area. There was no indication that they ever left that area. The party had finished. This was a very close family. Could you try informing yourself of the real facts before you post again. It was 36 hours after the party that the bodies were found-but not by the police.
apparently a member of the public saw one ? two of the bodies on the saturday, so about 12 hrs after they were last heard from, but did not approach and assumed it was people dozing.
this is not uncommon in open land.
this was after their relatives had reported them missing.
the crime was not discovered until 24 hrs later, about 1pm on the sunday.
just think of the evidence that might have been lost in the interim. police eventually found one of their mobile phones in a pond some time later.
it was not a large gathering, or disorderly/drunken. it was a birthday party for the older sister, Bibaa who was a senior social worker. they were both responsible people with regular lives and habits.
the passing woman who first glimpsed the bodies had no reason to report it at the time.
if at least a police person had been walking about, asking people if they'd been there the night before, had seen or heard anything, anyone suspicious about...
and it does not seem to have had the coverage normal in such cases. in fact this case is most unusual.
police know it was an unknown killer, who would have injuries. maybe someone saw something that could have been relevant, but as time passes, and without much publicity, the best chance is gone. RIP Bibaa and Nicole.
