Anyone else think Boris is still ill?

It'll be a while before he's fully fit. His weight is evidently against him and he was also hospitalized too. The illness knocks you sideways and my own observations told me that he'd returned to work too soon after.
He probably pretended that the disease wasn't as bad as he thought, but it tells on him right now.

Yes, I was thinking that. He looks sweaty and pale. Most viruses can take a while can’t they? and like you OP, my daughter developed ME after one. Who knows with this one? We’d expect government officials to be shattered quite honestly, but Boris seems to be on the next level. Of course, it could just be the new baby keeping him up!!

toad one thing that might possibly come out of this is that the scientists are beginning to understand the part genetic makeup is playing in C19. I think that such debilitating diseases (?) as ME will fall under that as well. Be brilliant if they could find a reason and potential cure.

I also notice that he sounds a bit breathless when he speaks, and speaks in gasps without one unbroken sentence coming out.

Sorry to hear that your daughter has M.E. Toadinthehole.

Begs the question should he have handed over the reins to someone else even if temporarily ?

I think Cummings is fitting that bill

I think its quite likely that the effects of Covid-19 are still being felt as well as punishing working hours and pressure. Lets hope he does get some R & R.

I showed my DH a photo of Johnson yesterday, and asked DH “who is this”

His reply “Stanley Johnson”

Johnson has aged terribly. C19 is a bugger of a disease.

Many people who have suffered Covid-19 badly are going on to suffer ME/CFS. I am an ME sufferer myself, and mine developed from a nasty virus 30 years ago. My husband and I both caught it - he got better and I never did.

Anyway ..... looking at Boris slumped next to Rishi Sunak yesterday - well, I thought Boris looked shattered, haggard and unwell, whereas Rishi looked full of vigour. Boris has returned to work because he has had to, but it's my opinion he is still far from well.

Anyone agree (whether you approve of him or not?)
