It is mindblowing that this excuse for a PM has not even bothered to read the winter coronavirus report. When Kier Starmer pinned him down in PMQs all he could do was say he was ‘aware’ of it.

He is pathetic..and dangerous.

Boris has not read winter coronavirus report

You are a hoot, Firecracker. Why don’t you write to Starmer yourself and ask him what he does all week?

S/he is, isn't s/he. grin

Starmer has nothing else to do all week but prepare for PMQs lol.

He does a damn sight more that Johnson, then, who is never prepared for PMQs.

My question was to MaizieD seeing as she thinks Starmer does more than Boris, a question she is unable to answer it seems.

So MaizieD, because you can't answer my questions you try the reverse tactic----sorry but it doesn't work with me. I asked you the questions first !

I can answer your question, I've answered it several times over the past few weeks and so have other people. You're just refusing to accept it and wittering on about people being responsible for themselves.

So, conversation at an end as far as I'm concerned.

Why did all those people die ?
Who would you replace Boris with ?

More tedious Boris bashing! Is this going to go on for the next four years?

Nope. It won't go on for four years because he'll be out on his ear long before then.

Who will be in his place then MaizieD?

Still waiting to find out what Starmer does all week as well. I expect you can't answer that can you, naff all probably or a few knee bends.

EllanVannin Thu 16-Jul-20 18:14:11

Vallance doesn't want anyone going out anywhere, and that's how it should remain if we don't want to see or hear of any more cases. He wishes people to stay at home. Some hope, eh ?
What would the reaction be to that ?

Also Sir Patrick is against people returning to work and to remain working from home ?

Covid19 goes beyond politics just what I said, GillT57 and way beyond one person who just happens to be the current PM. This crisis goes way beyond one person who just happens to be PM, way beyond one party which happens to be in power. Let's judge the two latter, PM and party, by the way in which they pull us out if it.

Actually, although Boris didn't call for an early enough lockdown, he did still follow the scientific advice when it advised following a plan for herd immunity. I felt he had reason to delay lockdown for as long as possible because the British public weren't going to take it for more than a few months, as has been demonstrated.

MaizieD Thu 16-Jul-20 17:46:20

Tell you what, EV. Let's turn your question about 'Why did we have so many deaths' around.

What is so different about the British population that we managed to achieve a not quite world beating number of deaths, given that we had the same information as other countries, when other countries didn't?

EllanVannin Thu 16-Jul-20 17:32:23

Who will do better in power then MaizieD ?

EllanVannin Thu 16-Jul-20 17:30:49

Erm, self-inflicted illnesses ? It wasn't me who said that. MaizieD.

Saying that I'm absurd in what I say doesn't exactly do you any favours either.

So at this stage, can you think of anyone who would do a better job given that this virus is an unknown quantity in how it strikes ?

Lots of people did a better job with as much information as we had, EV. As you would find out if you used your google fingers.

GillT57 Thu 16-Jul-20 17:28:51

Nasty and off the point Sussexborn. My criticism of Johnson is based on his ineptitude, his being unfit for the job, his slobbish, careless, lying ways, and nothing to do with his political party. Covid19 goes beyond politics, and if Corbyn had made such a hash of it as Johnson has, I can assure you I would be just as critical.

EllanVannin Thu 16-Jul-20 17:27:08

It does get tedious Sussexborn----boring too because you know exactly who's going to be in the running on here. Soooo
predictable ! Empty vessels and all that-------

MaizieD Thu 16-Jul-20 17:26:22

And you were a nurse?

I'm really not sure how EV managed to cope with working with all those silly people with their self inflicted illnesses...

Sorry, EV, but you have said some absurd things..

TheFrugalPiggy Thu 16-Jul-20 17:24:36

Trump and Johnson. Two men who deeply wanted the Top Job but don't want the responsibility that goes with it. It's the perfect storm.

EllanVannin Thu 16-Jul-20 17:24:06

Yes, growstuff---and ??

More tedious Boris bashing! Is this going to go on for the next four years? Hopefully you’ll bore yourselves as much as you bore others now.

It would be more sensible if you start working for the party you favour - as long as you aren’t Jewish, of course.

growstuff Thu 16-Jul-20 17:21:18

Well Boris paid the price for his stupidity didn't he ? That action he took in shaking hands certainly didn't mean that everyone else had to do the same ? Which is why I said that we're responsible for our own health regardless of what others do.

We wouldn't put our hand in a fire because someone else did would we ? As for those with dementia, they usually have someone with them who are alert to these things happening.

It's also down to management if there are unsafe working environments, not Boris----he doesn't know what goes on in the lives of 65 million people @ growstuff.

Johnson is the Prime Minister. He is responsible for making laws and ensuring they're enforced. The buck stops with him.

growstuff Thu 16-Jul-20 17:18:37

The government didn't "follow the science" either.

Sir Patrick Vallance told the committee that SAGE advised the government to impose lockdown measures “as soon as possible” on the 16 or 18 March.

He said this happened as soon as data showed further restrictions were needed. “Looking back, you can see the data may have preceded that but the data was not available before that.”

Scientists realised in mid-March that “we were further ahead in the epidemic than had been thought”.

What on earth has Corbyn got to do with it? And yes, if he'd behaved like an idiot, I'd be bashing him too.

EllanVannin Thu 16-Jul-20 17:14:06

If Corbyn had been in power and the same thing happened, would you be bashing him too ?
