Oh Harry.

Please leave the political comments to Meghan.

Just keep it zipped

?

Well I made my point very simply as I always do. The comment about intelligence was merely stating that if you took time to read it you couldn't fail to understand. It sounds like it was only skimmed over.

I expect that there is a lot of space in all the royal residences so social distancing would not be a problem.

However we will almost certainly spend Xmas by our two-selves, for the first time in fifty years, in spite of having a spacious home.

We all have to make our own assessments of risk.

We are only in our seventies and we hope to live longer, long enough to get out to the other side of the pandemic and be with our family, close to them and able to hug them all at some time in the future.

If we were in our nineties, we might decide that it is better to hug them now, in spite of the risk.

It is a case of balancing quantity and quality of life.

I do agree varian It strikes me as particularly sad that some older people will have shut themselves off from any family contact for what will turn out to be their final months alive. Of course the trouble is nobody knows to whom this applies. sad

But you are not the Queen varian you only have to think of
what is right for you.

varian Tue 29-Sept-20 22:09:47

I know that I am not the queen Annie but I trust the queen to decide what is right for her.

Anniebach Tue 29-Sept-20 22:14:17

I think the Queen will do what’s right for the country and the
Commonwealth

NotTooOld Tue 29-Sept-20 22:38:44

varian - nicely put. I agree with you.

Grany Wed 30-Sept-20 07:57:25

Yes the Queen will do what's right for her and her family as she always has done. They are raking in money right left and centre

Why the commonwealth should ditch the Royals. This about the commonwealth very interesting.

Commonwealth

In what way?

Lucca Wed 30-Sept-20 08:17:01

Sorry. Didn’t finish. I don’t see how the queen will do anything that affects the country or the commonwealth ?

annep1 Wed 30-Sept-20 09:46:20

Lucca, that's what I was wondering,
Anniebach, can you explain please?

Anniebach Wed 30-Sept-20 09:48:19

Yes annepl I can explain

annep1 Wed 30-Sept-20 10:06:14

Interesting Grany. Had a look at Wikipedia too as I know little about the Commonwealth. The head of the Commonwealth is not a hereditary position but the queen actually asked that Charles be appointed to succeed her!

annep1 Wed 30-Sept-20 10:13:42

Silly games time ?

merlotgran Wed 30-Sept-20 10:30:06

Once again I'm scratching my head over the dichotomy that is Meghan.

Yesterday, in a virtual address to some summit or other about Most Powerful Women hmm, she said she doesn't pay attention to criticism or flattery.

Does she not remember the hissy fit Harry threw before they were married because of negative press reports about their relationship? This was before most of us even knew who she was.

What about all the admiring articles written about their wedding? Nope? Not Bothered?

Archie's birth? All the announcements/non announcements. Did it all pass her by?

Then the biggie - South Africa. She bleated to Tom Bradby about the negative press in the UK. She then returned to good old Blighty and sued the DM!

I know I'm getting old but I couldn't understand a flipping word of what she said in her virtual address. hmm

I'd post a link but then I'd be accused of 'clickbaiting' grin

eazybee Wed 30-Sept-20 10:43:56

Really , Merlotgran!

Basically: Meghan is just: " trying to focus on living a purpose-driven life and knowing what your own moral compass is."

See?

merlotgran Wed 30-Sept-20 10:55:07

knowing what your own moral compass is.

Whenever I see a pic of Omid Scobie I think he looks like a rabbit caught in headlights.

It's now likely he'll have to give evidence about whether or not H&M co-operated with Finding Freedom. First he said she didn't, then he admitted she did.

Will Meghan expect him to lie?

Lucca Wed 30-Sept-20 11:37:55

Anniebach

Yes annepl I can explain

?

Anniebach Wed 30-Sept-20 11:40:23

Sorry, don’t understand your need for the question mark Lucca

Lucca Wed 30-Sept-20 11:48:29

I thought you were going to explain? I asked perfectly politely as did Annep1

annep1 Wed 30-Sept-20 11:54:14

Lucca you asked and got no answer
I merely asked, Can you explain. And Anniebach is being pedantic.
When questions are ignored imo its because there isnt a good answer.

annep1 Wed 30-Sept-20 11:55:08

It's not the first time!

Anniebach Wed 30-Sept-20 12:00:18

And I gave a polite reply , yes I can explain.

Do find someone else to sharpen your knives on, thank you

Lucca Wed 30-Sept-20 12:05:07

Anniebach. Please will you explain.

Ellianne Wed 30-Sept-20 12:10:07

merlotgran you got me searching for the video and I had a listen. Apart from it being full of herself, as usual, my eye caught the pile of books strategically placed in the background next to some white candles. Then I looked at a different video, on a different day with Meghan wearing a different shirt and the same titles, about women and black godfather (??) had been placed in a different arrangement behind her next to some pink flowers. Staged or what? Of course she cares about what people say.
