Thank you Merlotgran.

Okey Doke.

Seriously give it a rest. Photos of children are just that. No need to read a million meanings into them.

merlotgran Sun 04-Oct-20 18:08:46

Ellianne

If, however, we could see more of this from time to time I think I would be delighted.

I very much doubt we will.

There's no 'meaning' behind this lovely photo. Harry probably got his knuckles rapped for missing an opportunity to raise awareness for something or other. In future Archie probably won't be seen unless he's helping his mom and dad earn a buck or two.

Ah thank you Lexisgranny and Ellianne now I understand. Of course I saw the Tutu ones at the time. The one posted by you Ellianne is a lovely picture of father and baby.
My only wish for all children is that they have enough of what they need, and loving parents or carers, but sadly that isn’t always the case, in this country, and other countries. I’m not convinced that royal children had all their needs met in the past, I’m thinking of emotional needs rather than the basic needs of food and shelter, which in this world so many children lack. Think how the Queen was raised, no school, no other children to play and learn with which in my opinion is not healthy. I think the way the Cambridge children appear to be being raised is much more healthy and normal.

I'm not trying to wriggle out of this one Lucca, but my comment about Meghan being more interested in the camera switching to her comes from comparing her style with Catherine's obvious pride in showing her family's most relaxed moments.
Like this one. No posh clothes, no immaculate hair, no poses, no gestures, just pure joy captured by the photographer.

Lucca Sun 04-Oct-20 16:24:30

* Almost certainly any pics of Archie would really be about MM, *
Biscuit well and truly taken!
Don’t tell me that’s just well meaning criticism, sympathy for our dear queen etc etc.

Your border!!

Callistemon Sun 04-Oct-20 16:00:05

sooner rather than later I hope!

But when you become independent will it matter?
You could open our border to the republicans who could leave horrid old England and live in the Republic of Scotland.

Callistemon Sun 04-Oct-20 15:57:40

so maybe you should get used to being without them in the future
Or maybe not.

For goodness sake, not that AGAIN! George was not curtsied to on his first day at school! His teacher bent down to his level to greet him as she did to all the new children . She did exactly th same to Charlotte, my grandsons teacher did exactly the same to him at his Primary on his first day crouched to his level to say Hello. Why would a teacher cursey to George yet shake hands with his parents which she did?!!!

Anniebach Sun 04-Oct-20 15:49:59

George was not curtsied to by his head mistress, she didn’t tower over him to welcome him to the school, it’s what teachers do when greeting small children .

Ellianne Sun 04-Oct-20 15:28:48

Sorry Lucca speaking purely of camera techniques. I try it myself!

Lucca Sun 04-Oct-20 15:14:51

Ellianne

I think Meghan would be more interested in using her camera for selfies than photos of her children.

I don’t think that’s worthy of you Elliane, I really don’t.

Grany Sun 04-Oct-20 14:47:08

Can't argue with that trisher RF have the very best of everything. But I feel sorry for their children having their life so say mapped out for them and poor George being curtsied to meeting Head teacher. Very odd having RF in this day and age. We deserve better than this hugely expensive family foisted on us.

trisher Sun 04-Oct-20 14:25:48

The Cambridge children are delightful Why wouldn't they be? They have never gone hungry, been cold or wondered where they would spend the night, unlike the 4million children living in poverty in the UK.

Lexisgranny Sun 04-Oct-20 12:50:13

maddyone. If you google Archie with Desmond Tutu you will see the ones to which I was referring. They weren’t officially released by M&H, but as photographers were present it was inevitable they would be all over the press, just as the ones showing his foot were.

Ellianne Sun 04-Oct-20 12:47:10

I'm not sure either maddyone. Maybe the Tutu ones in Africa?
Hope you enjoyed your holiday in Greece and felt safe. Back to the rain here!

annsixty Sun 04-Oct-20 12:42:21

They are delightful and very ordinary children.

maddyone Sun 04-Oct-20 12:40:33

Have I missed something? I’ve been on holiday in Greece and I didn’t know any pictures of Archie were released apart from the video on his birthday.

Jaberwok Sun 04-Oct-20 12:39:32

I think you're right Ellianne ! Almost certainly any pics of Archie would really be about MM, where as the Cambridge children is about them, and what charmers they all are! Prince George speaking up really well and sounding serious! Princess Charlotte? no flys on her in spite of her pretty dress!! As for Prince Louis, what a gorgeous little boy! I felt a surge of pride in all three of those children and their parents.

Lexisgranny Sun 04-Oct-20 12:36:48

Gwenisgreat1. I do agree about the photos of Archie, after been treated to glimpses of him, to reveal him fully to the world when he was not in the country of his birth was odd. I wonder how Charles felt to see the first full published photograph of his grandson with strangers. This pair really do make strange choices
