It looks as if Trump will win now

Looking at the figures, it seems very likely that Trump has won a second term. How that will affect the world remains to be seen.?

Oh dear! Apparently Wisconsin is on its thirteenth recount and there's a different winner each time. Biden's lead in Arizona is narrowing.

growstuff I didn't think a recount could be ordered until a result was registered? Really, 13 recounts?!!!! Where did you see that, I can't find any reference? This is going to be a very long election...... give us strength and patience.

I can’t believe what I’m hearing. He is clearly mentally unstable. What were his aides thinking of putting him in front of the cameras with that speech.

SueDonim Fri 06-Nov-20 00:13:32

Good lord! I can’t believe what I’ve just seen and heard! He’s unhinged.

Doodledog Fri 06-Nov-20 00:16:17

He really is deranged. I'm amazed that anyone let him go on in that state. And who wrote that 'speech'? He did seem to be reading it, but surely not?

suziewoozie Fri 06-Nov-20 00:24:43

It really is beyond words isn’t it? He is mad, bad and dangerous.

Grannynannywanny Fri 06-Nov-20 00:37:03

I’ve newly discovered CNN on my tv box and watched it most of this evening. The tv presenters there haven’t held back. I’m astonished at some of the remarks they’ve made about Trump. All of them accurate but just surprised they were brave enough to say it.
Sore loser/liar/deranged/racist. They said Putin couldn’t have launched a better attack on US democracy than Trump has today.
Also made an interesting observation that Vice President Pence has been conspicuous by his absence during the past 48 hrs.

suziewoozie Fri 06-Nov-20 00:40:45

Apparently Pence has just tweeted that he stands by Donald Trump.

Trump supporters are acting like the only people "counting" the ballots are Democrats- ? Do they not realize both parties are sitting in those counting rooms side by side? And that no Republican counter has reported fraud? What's wrong with these people?

Hithere Fri 06-Nov-20 02:42:50

I saw this shared in Facebook.
If anybody can make sense out of it, please let me know.

"?? I’ll say it again Trump won.
Here’s the deal.
Trump won in a LANDSLIDE. This is why counting was abruptly halted by all Democrat states. If it was for Biden they would have called it. They didn’t.
Now they are engaging in rampant voter fraud to pad their counts to make it look “close”. The graphs, and basic common sense of last minute 100% 130k votes to Biden is a clown show. It shows how corrupt these states like WI, MI and PA really are. They don’t care about facts and data - they only care about fake optics. They are framing it look ? close.
Do you think they would want to go through a lawsuit that will investigate their voter fraud? That will actually count legal votes? That would expose their tactics and corruption? No way.
So what they will do is create a reality in which you think it’s a “close” election. It’s not. The media will milk this for as long as they can. Causing psychological damage on the masses to believe this wasn’t a landslide victory and to divide us. They will use it in their content for late night talk show hosts, they will use it in politics etc.
The worst thing they can show is that people were united and all people of race were unified. So they will milk this narrative as long as possible so they can use the narrative to marginalize a Trump victory for the next 4 years.
They will not let it go into investigation because that would expose their rampant corruption. If Trump wins, nothing will need to be investigated. So...they are just padding the numbers for the states they control and making it appear as if Trump narrowly won.
We know the truth, we know this is the media’s and deep states angle.
Trump didn’t win in a narrow margin, he won in a landslide, they just don’t want all of us who are unified to know it or believe it.
DON’T take the bait.

Pretty sure it was fake news! Sorry!

Anyway, it looks as though Biden has definitely taken Wisconsin.

I see Bannon has been permanently banned from Twitter for calling for the beheading of Fauci and the Director of the FBI.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 06-Nov-20 06:20:05

elegran sorry I was not on line to answer you.

I expect by now though you realise it was me playing silly devils?

I live in hope though!

Whitewavemark2 Fri 06-Nov-20 06:30:56

Going back to Bannon, apparently it has been watched hundreds of thousands of times on Facebook as well.

There are enough deranged people out there to try to carry something like this through.

Bannon needs to be arrested for inciting violence.

Spice101 Fri 06-Nov-20 07:03:23

We have had 4 years of the Democrat supporters whingeing about Trump being elected and if he does not win this time we will have 4 more years of the Republicans whingeing about Trump not winning.
I'm well and truly over American politics.

Blinko Fri 06-Nov-20 09:15:07

Seems to me the whole shemozzle is illustrated by Trump supporters in one state (where presumably the most recent count was in his favour) yelling 'Stop the count!', whilst in another state (where Biden seems to be in the lead) Trump supporters are shouting 'Count the votes!'.

Total chaos.

maddyone Fri 06-Nov-20 09:15:08

Oh dear, what an unholy mess. I didn’t see Trump speaking last night, I was in bed, but reading the comments on here, it sounds as if it was appalling.
Looking at my comment yesterday I think I phrased it badly: I meant that Trump has always been unhinged.

At least two of the media outlets refused to show his press speech, because it was so outrageous.

I see his son is now calling for total war.

Someone needs to have a word in their ear about responsible leadership.

Shandy57 Fri 06-Nov-20 09:24:46

I was on Facebook last night and I subscribe to a US page called 'The Flylady', it's a website designed to help you control your housework etc. The page owner posted she was upset Trump's speech was cut - and she received a disgraceful barrage of abuse. Tensions seem very, very high.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 06-Nov-20 09:31:12

That’s why Biden is constantly exhorting for calm.

No talk about total war or beheading from Biden camp.

travelsafar Fri 06-Nov-20 09:37:50

Places like China and North Korea must be horrified that one of the so called 'great powers' allows this embarassing election to be shown worldwide.

maddyone Fri 06-Nov-20 09:38:02

I’m so very glad I’m not American. I’m sure there are going to be riots when the result is declared. The Trump supporters won’t take this well, particularly with Trump behaving so badly. If it wasn’t happening right in front of us, we wouldn’t believe this was happening.

maddyone Fri 06-Nov-20 09:38:33

Absolutely travelsafar.

Elegran Fri 06-Nov-20 09:43:30

He wants to be important and remembered for ever, even if it means inciting another civil war.

On second thoughts, he probably thinks it would be gloriously patriotic to start another civil war!

Morning! I hope you’ve seen my apology?

Biden now in lead in Georgia, which if he prevails means Trump can’t win.

suziewoozie Fri 06-Nov-20 09:59:04

A bit overlooked but potentially incredibly important - looks like two run offs in Georgia for the two senate seats - would happen in January. Current situation for rest of seats is 49/49
