Looking at the figures, it seems very likely that Trump has won a second term. How that will affect the world remains to be seen.?

Phew! Things have really changed now?Biden looks a sure thing to win, hooray.

I stand by my prediction

Biden 306

Trump 232

Some Republicans are starting to speak out against Trump now so the fat lady must be preparing to sing. One critic is the ex Governor of New Jersey who helped Trump prepare for the first debate. One pearl of wisdom was that as Biden has to fight a stutter Trump should interrupt him constantly to maximum the chance of Biden’s stutter surfacing. To quote Trump’s remark about the wonderful John Sopel, ‘another beauty!’ What a dirty game politics is.

Oopsminty I saw that video - I was about to link to it! VERY illustrative. He won't leave the White House until the bailiffs are sent in! Anyone else think he is still taking the steroid pills?

Yes, I suspect he's still taking them as he said how good they made him feel, and he has been very pumped up since he had Covid.

Prime example of "Be careful what you wish for". He wanted to be Churchill, steering the country masterfully through a crisis. He got two crises at once.

I bit the bullet and stayed up but he said exactly what everyone thought he would. Like a petulant child who isn't able to get his own way. You did the right thing.

Biden is behaving in a much more statesmanlike manner. He must be worried about potential unrest with so many unhappy bunnies around...and the unhappy bunnies have guns!

The a Monster Raving Looney Party actually had good policies though.

Those who voted for the Monster Raving Looney Party were only making a protest vote. It’s policy was that if any MRLP representative got in, they would step aside and not take the seat.

I deliberately went to bed just before Trump spoke last night. I knew that if I listened, I would be so angry /wound up that I wouldn't be able to get to sleep.

Trump has stirred up such a level of hate and mistrust in the US that I seriously fear for its peace and stability regardless of who ultimately wins this election (though please, please let it be Bidon!)
Trump has lit the blue touch paper and the consequences could be unstoppable ...

Just wanting to be President is a clue to possible delusions of power and grandeur.

We have one in this country, the only difference is that now he has the leadership he doesn’t seem to be either any good, nor enjoying something he has wanted for so long.

The tragedy of Oscar Pistorius shooting his girlfriend while taking steroids shows the danger of paranoia while under their influence.

Trump was paranoid before he started taking steroids.

His mental state has been under question certainly since he took office

You'd think his family would be worried about him and would 'have a word' but they've all got their careers riding on Daddy too.

His family is calling for total war, they are as bad as Trump

He certainly looks more puffed up than usual.

Whitewave I am not long back on GN this morning. I should have known you would check anything serious you posted, and the 360 was an impossible number. I'd read too many wild guesses on various US sites yesterday!

It is 306 and certainly not impossible. In fact it is looking likely at the moment.

I posted as a little bet. Wish I’d put money on it now?

I see that several of his legal appeals have been dismissed by judges. Quite right too.
He'll need to be sedated if he continues to behave they he's doing either that or he'll just combust!

A bit overlooked but potentially incredibly important - looks like two run offs in Georgia for the two senate seats - would happen in January. Current situation for rest of seats is 49/49

He wants to be important and remembered for ever, even if it means inciting another civil war.

On second thoughts, he probably thinks it would be gloriously patriotic to start another civil war!

Morning! I hope you’ve seen my apology?

Biden now in lead in Georgia, which if he prevails means Trump can’t win.
