and the world breathes a massive sigh of relief - wow <3

Why all the vitriol for the wife of DT....it’s unfair and pointless.Save it to heap on his head, not hers, she isn’t a politician.
I shall have to avoid CNN for a while ( now that the danger of a Trump win is over) as I can’t stand all the legal battles and re-counts to come over the next couple of months.

Relief?
Tears are a release of pent-up emotion.

Unless anyone has been in such a situation, we will never know how low we will stoop for the sake of our children.

I agree, Kalu

Would you speak out and disagree with the powerful Trumps and risk losing your child?
I couldn't, whatever I thought.

suziewoozie Sat 07-Nov-20 20:42:40

She’s just like Trump - her own self interest is all that matters.

Kalu Sat 07-Nov-20 19:13:56

Not so easy to have a choice when your husband is such an egotist/narcissist, with powerful support and the outcome of such a gamble may be to lose your child.

Unless anyone has been in such a situation, we will never know how low we will stoop for the sake of our children.

Easier said than done when one is not having to make such life changing choices I would have thought.

Thank heavens! Finally, finally, one bit of good news.

The whole world (except perhaps for Mt Putin and Mr Xi) are breathing a huge sigh of relief for having get rid of Trump.

SueDonim Sat 07-Nov-20 18:52:59

I am so relieved at this! I feel as though my family & I might once again be welcomed when we are able to visit our son and his family in the US.

suziewoozie Sat 07-Nov-20 18:48:52

We always have a choice whether to be a racist or not - always.

Kalu Sat 07-Nov-20 18:45:33

In that scenario, I fear she had no choice but to agree with the POTUS! Pretty big organisation to take on and a deranged husband head of the mix.

Not a fan of either but I would imagine, her son is her priority and should she decide to divorce Trump, this will prove to be her battle with his muttering.

suziewoozie Sat 07-Nov-20 18:25:55

MT has backed her husband all the way - she spoke in agreement with DT’s disgusting racist birther movement years ago and spoke at his recent rallies. She’s as corrupt and racist as he is and I feel sorry for their son who doesn’t have prayer.

Calendargirl Sat 07-Nov-20 18:24:12

“Donald, you’re fired!”

?

Callistemon Sat 07-Nov-20 18:20:52

Mélanie may well be on her own hot line, to her divorce lawyer(s).

I think you're right, Kalu but I hope the Trumps don't use her son as leverage and that she will get custody.

Very positive and complimentary message (aka grovelling) from Johnson.

He couldn’t do much else

Whitewavemark2 Sat 07-Nov-20 18:08:26

The further we get from the Trump presidency the more awful it will seem.

Oh I so wish we could be saying the same in the U.K.

"It's not fair!!!!!!!"

biba70 Sat 07-Nov-20 17:49:42

Kalu

Such relief not to have to listen Trump drivel soon.

Mélanie may well be on her own hot line, to her divorce lawyer(s).

won't be long over here either ;)

Lisagran Sat 07-Nov-20 17:49:18

Predictably, Trump’s not going without a fight......sad

varian Sat 07-Nov-20 17:45:00

Biden does sound like a statesman.

Trump never did.

Curlywhirly Sat 07-Nov-20 17:32:33

YES, YES, YES!!!! smile At last some good news! I too have been holding my breath for 3 days - what a massive relief.

Kalu Sat 07-Nov-20 17:25:50

Quite a day in history too as Kamala Harris will be the first black Vice President.

Jane43 Sat 07-Nov-20 17:20:51

Yes indeed, a ray of light in a very dark world. Boring or not, Biden made a very inspirational speech last night promising to serve all people not just those who voted for him because that’s the job.

Trump is out on the golf course, talk about fiddling while Rome burns, fiddling being a very appropriate word for Trump.
