and the world breathes a massive sigh of relief - wow <3

Mélanie may well be on her own hot line, to her divorce lawyer(s).

I think you're right, Kalu but I hope the Trumps don't use her son as leverage and that she will get custody.

“Donald, you’re fired!”

?

suziewoozie Sat 07-Nov-20 18:25:55

MT has backed her husband all the way - she spoke in agreement with DT’s disgusting racist birther movement years ago and spoke at his recent rallies. She’s as corrupt and racist as he is and I feel sorry for their son who doesn’t have prayer.

Kalu Sat 07-Nov-20 18:45:33

In that scenario, I fear she had no choice but to agree with the POTUS! Pretty big organisation to take on and a deranged husband head of the mix.

Not a fan of either but I would imagine, her son is her priority and should she decide to divorce Trump, this will prove to be her battle with his muttering.

We always have a choice whether to be a racist or not - always.

I am so relieved at this! I feel as though my family & I might once again be welcomed when we are able to visit our son and his family in the US.

The whole world (except perhaps for Mt Putin and Mr Xi) are breathing a huge sigh of relief for having get rid of Trump.

Lollin Sat 07-Nov-20 19:01:32

Thank heavens! Finally, finally, one bit of good news.

Kalu Sat 07-Nov-20 19:13:56

Not so easy to have a choice when your husband is such an egotist/narcissist, with powerful support and the outcome of such a gamble may be to lose your child.

Unless anyone has been in such a situation, we will never know how low we will stoop for the sake of our children.

Easier said than done when one is not having to make such life changing choices I would have thought.

suziewoozie Sat 07-Nov-20 20:42:40

She’s just like Trump - her own self interest is all that matters.

Callistemon Sat 07-Nov-20 20:45:48

I agree, Kalu

Would you speak out and disagree with the powerful Trumps and risk losing your child?
I couldn't, whatever I thought.

I was driving listening to the radio when it was announced- Im nowhere near any city celebrating- Didnt hear a single horn- Just a typical Saturday- So, why was I crying my eyes out??? ?

Callistemon Sat 07-Nov-20 21:06:04

Relief?
Tears are a release of pent-up emotion.

Ahhh! Have a couple of ???

Why all the vitriol for the wife of DT....it’s unfair and pointless.Save it to heap on his head, not hers, she isn’t a politician.
I shall have to avoid CNN for a while ( now that the danger of a Trump win is over) as I can’t stand all the legal battles and re-counts to come over the next couple of months.

Well done, you got yourselves a President with probable onset dementia. If you think Trump was a clown, you ain't seen nothing yet. 'Where's the button? What button, I've got zips!

Blimey. You might leave off to let people celebrate. The relief to be rid of Trump is palpable.

Not particularly gracious is it?

Just because he forgot Trump's name? Absolute nonsense. That's the only time he's mis-spoken. Trump did it all the time.

Sallywally1 Sat 07-Nov-20 21:19:06

I understand he is potentially in a lot of trouble regarding financial misdemeanours?

lemongrove Sat 07-Nov-20 21:36:35

No Dinahmo he ‘mis-spoke’ a lot of times over this last year, you can google it all.
If he does have early dementia it is a cause for concern, and he will have to step down for his vice pres, Kamala Harris (which hopefully would be sooner rather than later.)
That’s all in the future for now of course.

Dinahmo Sat 07-Nov-20 21:54:21

Funny - a few weeks ago, before Trump got covid, everyone was talking about the onset of dementia and he was speaking gobble de gook a lot of the time.

Devorgilla Sat 07-Nov-20 22:02:04

I am beyond ecstatic. A large degree of sanity has returned. Let's hope it spreads wide and far and we get a dose of it too. We certainly need it. So delighted some members of my family were instrumental in bringing this victory about.

Sparkling Sat 07-Nov-20 22:07:46

I think MT knew what Donald was like before she married him, doubt she will hang around now, I bet the book is halfway done. Trump will have massive debts and more theatre with law suits. Biden meanwhile brings calmness, but I think the country is truly divided and can’t see how that will resolve. Biden does not agree with Brexit and that will be a stumbling block with Boris getting on with him. It fingers crossed it will work out.l

Lexisgranny Sat 07-Nov-20 22:24:12

Dinahmo 4 days ago it was widely reported in the New York Post among other American newspapers (and widely copied by the British Press) that Joe Biden on a Rally platform, had introduced his granddaughter as his dead son, and then realised his mistake, and called her by the name of another granddaughter until his second mistake was pointed out to him, and he finally got the name right. Of course he may have name blindness, but this does still seem cause to me to be for concern.

Brilliant news; a little ray of light in a dark, dark year.
