I can’t stand Burley or Rigby, the remote comes in handy the second they appear on the screen. Prime examples of interviewers/ journalists who believe they are more important than anyone they talk to on screen.

Exactly, SpringChicken!

Never heard of this person, but Inadvertently?!!! pull the other one! How can you 'inadvertently' go to to a restaurant, have a party and travel without realising what you are doing is, umm, breaking lockdown rules. Saying sorry makes it all alright? I don't think so!

SpringyChicken Wed 09-Dec-20 09:37:08

The only thing they are sorry about is that they were found out.

honeyrose Wed 09-Dec-20 09:36:45

Yes Kay Burley is sorry - sorry that she got caught! Same with Rita Ora and other self- important “celebs” who did similar things. Also very stupid and misguided of guests to attend these bashes - do they think they’re immune too?

GrannyGravy13 Wed 09-Dec-20 09:32:55

Beth Rigsby was in the birthday party gang?
After the way they have gone on and on about folks breaking guidelines............

NanaandGrampy Wed 09-Dec-20 09:27:47

I am so sick of so called 'celebrities' breaking the rules that the rest of us are keeping and then assuming saying' sorry' makes everything ok.

Rita Ora, Laurence Fox and now Kay Burley.

I totally agree Marydoll there was nothing inadvertent about it . It was all about me, me, me ! Many of us have had birthdays this year that went uncelebrated.

I hope they fine her !!

Framilode Wed 09-Dec-20 06:24:33

Not only did she break the rules but she then travelled up to Coventry to interview the vulnerable first recipients of the Covid jab. It was only at the last minute when the news became public that she was called back to London.

I think it's a bit rich to say the rule breaking was 'inadvertent'.

Mamardoit Wed 09-Dec-20 04:53:48

Well she won't be able to lord it over anyone she interviews now will she.

Ramblingrose22 Wed 09-Dec-20 00:45:46

I've never liked her so she won't be missed.
I suppose she thinks she wont' get covid because she's too important and well known.
And the people who accepted her invite are as stupid as she is.

Marydoll Tue 08-Dec-20 23:34:35

Double standards and an excuse of an apology. She said on Twitter that she inadvertently broke the rules.
She didn't inadvertently break the rules, she made a conscious decision to invite four members of the Sky News team back to her hom, thus knowingly breaking the rules.
She has lost all credibility as a journalist.

Lucretzia Tue 08-Dec-20 23:21:30

I'm not keen on her

She made Peter Andre cry

I'm not a fan of Peter's particularly but I thought she was very cruel

So I won't miss her

And how stupid of her

Kate1949 Tue 08-Dec-20 23:14:09

Appalling

FannyCornforth Tue 08-Dec-20 23:10:17

Like Rita Ora and her ridiculous 'apology'.tchangry

FannyCornforth Tue 08-Dec-20 23:08:59

That's absolutely appalling
(I've never liked her)

She was replaced by another presenter this morning. She broke Covid rules by having a 60th pre-birthday bash with a dozen SKY colleagues in a London restaurant & then continued the party at her home.

She’s apologised profusely for ‘inadvertently’ breaching the rules.

SKY news say she won’t be back until next year.

Beth Rigby was there too. They’ve given a hard line to other rule breakers ‘are you going to resign over this?’ for similar breaches.

Wonder if she’ll resign? No, I don’t think so either ...
