Didn't Meghan fly in her first pregnancy, to a baby shower in USA?

They don’t help themselves do they?
(400 Posts)I can hardly believe I’m going to post this but does anyone else find it hard to believe that Harry and Andrew who actually saw active service for Queen and country are to wear suits for the funeral rather than uniform? I understand why this decision has been made and I think it stinks quite frankly - designed to humlitate. I don’t know why they’re not wearing sackcloth and ashes actually - petty, vindictive, what a lovely family they are.

seamstress From the photos of her recently she is either very pregnant or she has been comfort eating in a very big way, and her appearance is too important to her for that to be true. I am inclined to believe that her doctors have advised her not to fly, as that is their advice to most women at her stage of pregnancy. She probably doesn't want to come, full stop. Not wanting to be the centre of attention is irrelevant.
Why the dig about her appearance being important to her? You mean as opposed to KM who put on stones in all her pregnancies and well, just let herself go ?
Meg was criticised on an American tv channel for saying she would not attend the funeral because all the attention would be on her
Can’t find the link now, it was on uTube
^Won't it be wonderful when we can all resume our normal lives!!
I'd go out into the garden but I'm awaiting an important delivery!

Especially as she had a miscarriage, albeit an early one, last year.

I believe they've found a new fundamental force in physics. (True, in fact)
This one means that all threads that include the word "Prince" or "Queen" must tend towards a pointless discussion centring on a couple of minor royals and their TV appearances.
Actually, justallthreads, now that I come to think of it.

Yes, Callistemon, I can recommend it. Well near normal anyway.
?
Does it really matter? This is about showing respect for the departed not about how grand participants look. Meghan is right to stay away for whatever reason - she has upset so many in this country it would have been difficult. If Boris had gone he would have been slated so he did the right thing - for once some of you may add. Why all this vitriol!

This is a weird thread, you seem to believe that it's definitely true Andrew and Harry are not being allowed to wear their uniforms, this information hasn't come from either of those two but it must be true, however Boris has made a statement and he's definitely lying?
Pretty typical RF thread then.

I'd be sending them all to Savile Row for new, plain suits. Although I expect Charles will be wearing one that's about 25 years old.
A contingent of RN officers and ratings would be the only ones in uniform.
This is all about the Duke and this fuss about uniforms is making it all about themselves, who outranks whom.
Put your foot down, ma'am.

The Daily Mail?
He left the RN as a Commander but somehow acquired the rank of Vice-Admiral - now he wants to be a full Admiral? Is that just for the day?
Of course, his BIL is a proper Vice-Admiral - will he be wearing uniform?
The difference is between earned rank and Ruritanian- look-what-my-mum-gave-me-for-my -birthday-rank ?

seamstress I certainly believe Meghan’s pregnant. Why would anyone not believe that?
eazybee
Family fracas may well be resolved within the family if they are kept within the family.
When they are deliberately made the subject of a TV interview that is broadcast world wide, full of dubious unchallenged statements about public figures it is very difficult for them to be resolved.
You said it Eazybee
In fact enigmatic and all encompassing comments from the Sussexes in that interview were designed to avoid any direct
Damage to a person but to cause maximum damage to the RF
As a whole.Like lobbing a grenade into a house rather than a single shot aimed at someone.Awful pair that they are.
As a fellow republican Alegrias I read the same info this morning on the BBC news.?
Andrew's actual rank is Vice Admiral. But he wants to go as an Admiral, a rank that he has temporarily declined because of the Epstein scandal.
Like I've said before, I know a lot for a Republican.
I suppose people on here don't believe she is pregnant - she is making it all up to avoid coming to the UK.
....would be appropriate.....
Andrew has not been stripped of his military titles - yet

Elegran I agree with you. Since the Duke of Edinburgh’s death we have heard, via various media outlets, that the Duchess of Sussex will not be attending the funeral as her doctor has advised her not to fly. Then we hear it’s not because she can’t fly, it’s because the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t want to be the center of attention (why would she think that she would be the center of attention?) and then we hear that she ‘forgives’ the RF for whatever she thinks they’ve done. Finally we hear that the Queen understands why she is not coming to the funeral. Four pieces of information within the same number of days. All via the media and ‘friends.’
If she doesn’t want to be the center of attention, she or her friends, are making a very good job of keeping attention on her.
It would appropriate at this difficult time for the RF, if Meghan and/or her friends would remain silent and allow the RF to grieve quietly and with dignity, without this constant sideshow coming over the water from thousands of miles away.
Agree Elegran , she has accused an unnamed member of the royal family of being racist, who is it ?
She has accused unnamed people of keeping her prisoner in her home for four months, who are they ?
She has accused the monarchy of racism , withholding her son’s title of Prince because of his skin colour .
Why doesn’t she name and sue ?
