Wills and Harry rift blown out of proportion

I've thought all along that the so-called "feud" between the brothers has been exaggerated by the media. Brothers fall out as anyone with sons will tell you. Usually they make it up and everything is forgotten, but with Harry leaving the country and the press delighting in nasty gossip, a small disagreement has grown into all out war.
At least one reporter thinks as I do.

Other people cannot come from overseas for funerals, sadly.

Yes they can.

If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a dozen times, stop posting facts you spoilsport ?

He came back for his grandfather's funeral. He'll probably come back for the unveiling of the statue to his mother.
I think you misunderstand Alegrias. Its not just the one isolated event (the funeral) we are talking about but the ramifications for many future trips for years to come. And as was also pointed out the environmental issues as Greta was keen to fight for and the Sussexs seemed to agree with.

Good post Smileless. If it’s the case that William and Charles wouldn’t speak to Harry alone, but preferred to have the two of them present, then I would say that’s very sensible. Unfortunately whatever might be said to Harry could be all over CBS within a day or so. If I had a relative who ran to the press every time I spoke, I’d stop speaking to that relative, apart from polite small talk. Wouldn’t you?

Surely Harry has to spill the beans otherwise he is not giving good value for money to his US sponsors
I do wonder if Prince Charles, on his beautiful Welsh farm, is trying to work out how to offload Buck House?

I can't see H coming back very often. In addition to the unveiling of their mother's statue for his GM's funeral, perhaps for his father's coronationhmm.

I hope they can stay silent too Annie and wouldn't be surprised if neither Charles or William said much of any value just in case.

Pure speculation of course but it's being said that neither wanted to talk to H without the other being present in case there were any miss understandings.

I hope that if H does want to begin to repair the damage, that he'll ensure M doesn't disclose any of what was said to her friend Gayle King, or it will be all over CBS the next day.

Just imagining all the comments on GN if he didn't come back! As my mum used to say "He can't do right for doing wrong."

Alegrias1 Wed 21-Apr-21 09:54:53

Oh for goodness sake.

He came back for his grandfather's funeral. He'll probably come back for the unveiling of the statue to his mother.

If he hadn't come back for the funeral, I can imagine some of the invective that would have been hurled at him on here.

Not exactly environmentally friendly to have lots of massive houses, as the RF do..... (so not just Harry being thoughtless re climate change)

Callistemon Wed 21-Apr-21 09:50:40

Got it now, Anniebach ? Thanks!

Anniebach Wed 21-Apr-21 09:49:54

May I explain Callistemon ? -do as I say , not do what I do ?

Callistemon Wed 21-Apr-21 09:44:24

Is this fly in, fly out business going to happen all the time? Harry is back again in July, and no doubt for other occasions.

What about the environment, the future of the planet? shock

Bridgeit Wed 21-Apr-21 09:43:49

Same as the rest of us I expect a mixture of all on Ellianne’s list

Ellianne Wed 21-Apr-21 09:34:53

I’ve never understood the need to revisit your last place of work once you resigned either but plenty do! Is it the need to feel missed, valued, I wonder?
I agree to an extent Pantglas, but for me the pull would be the people I was once close to.

Ellianne Wed 21-Apr-21 09:31:04

Anniebach

expect he will fly in and out for some family occasions, won’t be many though.

But, thinking about the Queen thread on here, does he fly in and back out of duty, dedication, commitment or out of love for the family he was born into, or as a PR money making exercise, or just for a jolly? I doubt anyone really knows, but I find it interesting what might be his intentions.

I imagine it is going to be like that in future Ellianne, so let’s hope the Queen lives at least as long as her mother!

We saw very little of the Duke of Windsor once he’d abdicated although I read somewhere that he’d have liked to return in his later years.

Harry is back in Montecito.

Omid Scobie will be sharpening his pencil.

Apologies *ExD - I should have read the whole thread.

The media likes a good story to exaggerate.
