In various threads recently the BBC and Channel 4 have come under fire for bias. Surely there is more to both channels than just news yet it is the news coverage that people attack them with.
The publicly funded broadcasters are also attacked or dismissed because they they are not streaming channels like Netflix etc. But there is an enormous selection on I-Player and the ITV/Channel 4 equivalents so one can binge watch to one's hearts content.
There is so much variety of programming on these channels, more so than on the streaming channels. Just tonight, I watched an hour long programme of cover versions of Bob Dylan songs, followed by Nature Watch and HIGNIFY and Jools Holland is showed an interesting selection of female singers.
There were several other programmes that I would also have enjoyed. I am aware that my choices are not to everyone's taste - I don't happen to like sport, talent shows or reality tv. Each to their own.
There are several BBC or ITV dramas available on Netflix, such as Broadchurch, Peaky Blinders, Luther, The Bodyguard, The Serpent and Collateral, to name but a few.
There is an enormous variety on the BBC and everybody should be able to find plenty to enjoy. I have focused on the BBC because there is a licence fee to pay.
So why not support it. What's not to like?
Is there anyone who still thinks that Israel's actions in Gaza are justifiable?
Is it me or am I getting mixed messages
