Daily papers - L or R political bias?

its easier to list the leftish papers, which are The Guardian and the Daily Mirror. The rest are Tory.

ps where has the News of the World gone?

I asked this partly because I'm concerned about the influence that the press have, and other media, on our choices. I include myself. We don't realise how much we're brainwashed. or don't want to realise it.
We can't get enough real facts to make rational decisions.

No, The Sun is also a Tory Party paper - or is that the same as a loony party paper?

In the words of "Sir Humphrey" the Sun readers don't care who rules the country as long as she has big boobs.

Fennel In all seriousness I think that most people who write on the News and Politics forum know the political influences of the English press and the owners.

I would be confused if you asked me that as it doesn't relate to the location of said newspaper! ?
There is a lot of venom towards certain newspapers where people don't believe they reflect their own political leanings, so you might get some strong views expressed.

It's like announcing "and in the blue corner we have ..... and in the red corner we have ".....

I've never asked anyone that question and have never read the Daily Express but I do have online subscriptions to The Guardian and The Telegraph as I like to have a political balance, I also have The Washington Post for a US perspective. It's really interesting to see what's seen as important news and also to see the different balance of opinion.
