Named for two important women in Harry's life. The bitchy comments on the other thread are nauseating.

Just noticed the announcement. I'm happy for them, and Lilibet is a beautiful name.

It appears that the boot has been put in already on the Royal chat thread. As Parsley3 says the bitchy comments are nauseating. Let's keep this one kind and wish the young couple and their new daughter well.

Of course, one name was sure to be Diana too.

They go nicely together and I'm sure Lilibet will now take off as a popular girls' name.

Lovely. I think they have already shortened the name to Lili in their announcement which is soft and pretty.
I hope Harry can now find peace and happiness with his little Diana.

I think it's rather odd as well. And I don't think I'm a bitch for thinking that way either.
However I love the name. Very pretty and it's going to be shortened to Lili by the sound of things. A new baby is always good news. So congratulations and all that.

I think Lillibet is a little insensitive. It is the family name or pet name for the Queen who could not pronounce Elizabeth then she was a child, Only a few could call her by that name and that included Prince Philli[

True, and I wonder what the Queen thinks about them pinching her pet name. I doubt they are in her good books at the moment.
