I have just remembered who Carrie Johnson's previous lover was, Harry Cole, Political Editor of The Sun. I am sure it is just a co-incidence though

I’m surprised that it took so long for the affair to be publicized if it had been going on for 2 yrs, it’s not difficult to tell if a couple are very close. I’m sure his security team knew very quickly, office staff too, then it was just a case of who got the photo and sold it to the press.

Affairs don’t affect politics, lying about them does, if he had been honest and not given favor to his girlfriend he would still be a minister.

They shouldn’t sack the person who released the photos as they could claim they were whistleblowing on a breach of regulations. I am surprise some people are more outraged by the location of the camera than the corruption in government. They should have more cameras in ministerial offices in my opinion.

The affair doesn’t matter.

Breaking the ministerial code does.

Focusing on the affair let’s our representatives off the hook.

The affair led to the breaking of the ministerial code, it's all linked, people underestimate the impact of having an affair at work has on the actual work, it just happens that his work was a key government position at the time of a pandemic.
