Well it had to be done, so I’m doing it. It’s in the news this morning that Prince Andrew is being sued in New York by Virginia Roberts for having underage sex with her when she was seventeen. Will there be a successful outcome for her?

Alegrias1 Tue 10-Aug-21 16:32:12

There won't be answers WWM2 and Lucca. Just enough posts to cast doubt on this woman's character, just enough insinuations to plant a seed amongst the gullible that Windsor must be the innocent party. Then off into the ether.

Callistemon Tue 10-Aug-21 16:29:39

I think victims do not realise the Svengali Effect - they are emotional hostages to someone more powerful. It may take years, if ever, to realise what happened was not right.

She kept the photograph for years, why keep a photograph of a
man who raped you , and she certainly looks happy in that
photograph.

So let me get this straight. You think Andrew is innocent of these charges ?

So many men allegedly involved yet she chooses not to name an American, would it have been easier to sue an American rather than a man from another country, she wants justice , why make it more difficult.

Are you defending Windsor?

Is this woman a friend of Megan's by any chance?

I wasn’t going to join this thread but that takes the absolute biscuit.
Un ——ingbelievable comment.

It’s not a criminal case so they can’t extradite him.

How is it not a criminal case? If it's not, it definitely should be, which is not to prejudge his guilt or innocence, but the charge should definitely be a criminal one.

MissAdventure Tue 10-Aug-21 16:05:52

Assuming any of the claims are true, would men want to sleep with women who looked miserable as sin?
I'm sure there probably were some of those, but I would think it stroked men's egos to think an attractive young woman wanted their company.

Whatdayisit Tue 10-Aug-21 16:05:21

My father's daughter comment was about the Maxwell's.
Further up thread somebody mentioned VRG's father being involved as he got her the work where she met Maxwell at Trumpy's country club.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 10-Aug-21 15:57:48

I don’t know where the photo came from but she does look very happy. There have been suggestions it was faked. None of us can pretend to know the true facts of this matter. We weren’t there, we weren’t involved. Epstein is no longer here to be questioned and perhaps Maxwell isn’t, there have been rumours and time will tell.
Who are any of us to judge at this stage? I can only say I’m curious as to why, if there is merit in the claim, it was left to the last possible minute to lodge it with the court and as to why so far as I know no similar civil claims are being brought against other alleged male perpetrators or Epstein’s estate.

I'm pretty sure the Father comment was about Robert Maxwell!

Phew - my mistake! Sorry!

Newatthis Tue 10-Aug-21 15:16:34

Come on - do any of you really believe they will extradite him to face charges - I seriously doubt it.

Galaxy Tue 10-Aug-21 15:15:21

It's at times like these that I think under no circumstances we should have a jury system for sexual assaults.

Galaxy Tue 10-Aug-21 15:13:46

Looking happy is neither here or there. Do people understand that many women live with their abusers for years and at points they will look happy.

Anniebach Tue 10-Aug-21 15:10:40

The father of Guiffrie was involved, I haven’t heard that any
member of the royal family was involved.

blondenana Tue 10-Aug-21 15:05:39

I too am suspiscious about her motives, why did she agree to meet him after this sex attack,if thats what it was,
I know 17 is underage in the US, BUT WHY NAME ONLY HIM,
I think she is after moneyand i don't believe she thought she would die if she didn't co operate,
Sorry, not defending Andrew, but i think it's not as bad as it sounds
She looks quite happy in the photo with him

Daisend1 Tue 10-Aug-21 15:05:07

WHY leave what is after *all *alleged until now .?

JaneJudge Tue 10-Aug-21 14:57:16

I'm pretty sure the Father comment was about Robert Maxwell!

Alegrias1 Tue 10-Aug-21 14:52:42

So wait, wait.....

We're not allowed to bring Andrew Windsor's sainted family into this, but Victoria Giuffre's father is fair game?

I give up. Chewbacca, hold the door.

Whatdayisit Tue 10-Aug-21 14:39:52

Yes WWM3 it is she is definitely her vile Father's Daughter.
I don't think it will happen.

Time constrictions have forced VRG down the path of this action. 10th August 2019 Epstein was found dead.

Callistemon Tue 10-Aug-21 14:31:45

Yes, they said that on the lunch-time news.

Even if nothing comes of this, it has highlighted it all again; whether that is a good thing for the girls involved is debatable but at least it ensures we don't forget about it with all else that is happening.

25Avalon Tue 10-Aug-21 14:29:23

Dh has just read that if she had not brought charges in the next week it would be out of time.

I think the whole debauched business just highlights how wrong it is to have anyone with a title . Everyone should be equal and the whole system of titles setting one above another is completely out dated.

Epstein didn't have a title.
Just wealth.
