I am just watching the debate on Afghanistan and must admit to being absolutely astounded to see that Johnson has had a proper haircut. I wonder if that means that he is going to take his job seriously .

I noticed his haircut too and the OH even remarked on it. A new look signalling a new attitude? Time will tell.

trisher Mon 06-Sept-21 16:08:51

No he's probably got his eye on a new squeeze grin

JaneJudge Mon 06-Sept-21 16:11:40

crikey grin

lemongrove Mon 06-Sept-21 16:14:37

I haven’t seen it, but not before time! It may have looked appealing in a man of younger years, but not on anyone over the age of 30.

Callistemon Mon 06-Sept-21 16:15:28

It's the start of the new school term.

Wait until half-term, his tie will be askew, his socks half mast, his new shoes scuffed, his hair all over the place.

It's the same with the DGC.

JaneJudge Mon 06-Sept-21 16:16:34

Do you think he had a photograph taken outside his front door this morning?

lemongrove Mon 06-Sept-21 16:18:06

He may invest in a properly fitting suit now, who knows?
Don’t forget, over time Corbyn changed from walking sartorial and whiskered disaster zone to smart man about town in a few years.?

Callistemon Mon 06-Sept-21 16:18:31

?
With his new backpack and Superman lunchbox?

Callistemon Mon 06-Sept-21 16:20:22

That was in answer to JaneJudge

Yes, if Corbyn managed it then Boris surely can.

Ah...I thought you meant Corbyn was off to his allotment with a new backpack ( for the courgettes) ?

Callistemon Mon 06-Sept-21 16:29:34

Don't mention courgettes!

Anyone want a courgette?

JaneJudge Mon 06-Sept-21 16:41:57

I've got two and an aubergine

I noticed this in today's news.
But the previous days his barnet was so overgrown he could hardly see.
Today I thought Carrie must have got the scissors out in desperation.

Eviebeanz Mon 06-Sept-21 16:58:25

I get the feeling that whatever he wears he'll still look like an overstuffed sofa

vegansrock Mon 06-Sept-21 17:09:09

This proves that the tousled scruff look was an affectation.

M0nica Mon 06-Sept-21 17:28:53

I doubt it will last.

Wish it was his brain.

TopsyIrene06 Mon 06-Sept-21 18:50:19

I heard today that he spent the weekend at Balmoral with the Queen so maybe he was encouraged to tidy himself up. Not before time in my humble opinion.

Of course it was/is.
He messes it up on purpose.
