He was served on August 27 at his home in Windsor and has until September 17 to respond, the affidavit states.

Staff had “already been primed not to allow anyone access on to the property to serve court process and instructed anyone not to accept the service”, according to the document.

Andrew lied.

Virginia Giuffre lied ,

Caleo please do not speak of Our Lord with mockery .

It’s certainly not true that he never knew the girl as we’ve all seen the photograph. I cannot see how he can possibly deny knowing her in the full knowledge that there is a photograph of him with his arm around her waist. Normally if an event was forgotten, a photograph would jog the memory.
Apparently this weekend he is holding a shooting party at Balmoral. It’s as if he is deliberately cocking a snook at the American courts. He is showing pure contempt for the process of American law.

Sorry Caleo I'm obviously missing something.

In an unusual move I'm going to disagree with you Grany. wink Kings and Queens have always bled the country, the triumph of the house of Windsor is that they make people think its the natural order of things and there's no alternative.

True. But not all citizens are gullible !

If he loses and is ordered to pay compensation who is going to make him pay? His lawyers, and remember they will be the best, don’t seem to be recognising the New York Court’s authority.

I dont think OJ ever paid the Goldman family.

I feel it would be great for British morale if Prince Andrew faced up to the allegations in an American court, even if he lost. If Prince A did so he'd be setting an example of moral courage that would inspire us. It takes guts to shoulder blame and pay the penalty even if you are innocent.

With you on that.

wicklowwinnie Sun 12-Sept-21 11:35:33

Well said, Grany,
it's about time this whole Royal Family business was sorted out.
How can we possibly contemplate a "King Charles and Queen Camilla" after their behaviour?

MissAdventure Sun 12-Sept-21 11:13:24

Probably, allegedly, for the same kind of reasons that other powerful men don't get immediately reported.
Jimmy Saville, for example.

Daisend1 Sun 12-Sept-21 10:56:33

When did as '*alleged*'. take place ?Why was it not reported at the time ?

I think the way PA and his legal team are trying to dodge out of being served with these papers is just making PA look more devious and more determined to avoid answering for himself.

Surely if he is innocent he has no need to try and avoid defending himself in court?

True

Sex with a 17 year old is not a crime in this country yet he can be found guilty of having sex with a 17 year old in this country

nadateturbe Sun 12-Sept-21 09:18:28

We don't know but I would suppose too.

Grany Sun 12-Sept-21 09:14:48

Yes mummy makes sure all her family receive money. Queen is hugely wealthy as well as receiving sovereign grant.
The RF spend public money day in day out.
In 70s queen had a transparency law changed to hide her embarrassing wealth from the public.

Kings and queens once ruled the country now they bleed the country.

Anniebach Sun 12-Sept-21 09:13:27

If he is ordered to pay this will mean guilty

lemsip Sun 12-Sept-21 09:08:27

It is a civil court case. A person cannot be found guilty in a civil court, they can be ordered to pay money.
This is a compensation case against PA

Lincslass Sun 12-Sept-21 08:59:50

trisher

Apparently though if he refuses to engage he can be judged in absentia and damages awarded accordingly. I suppose mummy will pay.

You suppose do you, but you don’t know, do you?

25Avalon Sun 12-Sept-21 08:56:51

If he is found guilty and damages awarded against him what jurisdiction will a US court have over him to make him pay especially as this is a civil case?
