Just watching the news showing people queuing for petrol. Apparently ‘the supply chain is under intense pressure”. BP is prioritising motorways and major routes. Deliveries are unpredictable and the army may be involved.

More talk about changing visa regs temporarily.

I firmly believe that no votes are wasted. Vote for the best person for the job. As long as we say that its not worth voting for that person because they'll never win, then they'll never win, will they.

We have Green politicians in government in Scotland. Irrespective of whether or not you think that's a good idea, voting for the person/party you want to win can have its effects.

There's another way votes are not wasted.

Parties receive "short money" which correlates with the number of votes cast. It's a major source of income for LibDems and Greens, neither of whom have the number of seats which represents the number of voters.

The Scottish parliament has a more proportionate system of allocating seats for votes so fewer votes are wasted, but because of the outrageously undemocratic FPTP voting system for the UK HoC, it is the case that most votes are wasted.

I love Nish and Rachel. Such a great Leicester lass, like me.

This has not aged well, has it? 2 years ago, and NOT a single mention of HGV drivers, abbatoir workers and butchers!

In my area, e-coli has been found in the water supply. Panic buying has not changed from petrol to water! Crazy world.

Funny how the tories new talk of high wages has not extended to raising wages in the public sector, a few years back they voted against raising the minimum wage , claiming it would cost a million jobs.

I just wait to see what the media stirs up (fact or fiction) and realise that's where the next panic will be.

We have avoided filling up until now but we have a trip planned and so looking forward to as haven’t been anywhere in two years. We have enough to get there but not to get back! So now worried as seems only diesel available.

Quality Street are in short supply allegedly?

Obviously Sainsbury’s, Aldi and John Lewis didn’t get the lets cause a panic memo as they have got plenty in stock, all sizes along with John Lewis’s pick-n-mix is back.

The Telegraph is reporting that the EU is being exhorted by the Finnish PM to consider sending aid to the U.K. particularly in basic goods.

One in 6 people in the U.K. have been unable to source basic goods over recent weeks. For those on a restricted diet this can prove very serious.

The government is (so far) refusing to assist fuel dependent industries as the price of gas rockets. Some industries are already ceasing production for a few hours each day. Some industries if forced to stop production, like glass foundries, potteries etc will never go back into production.

It seems that Johnson lied about the 127 application for LGV visas.

DH went to fill up with petrol (essential as we have hospital trips) and he was the only car there this morning.

Is the panic over *lovetopaint?

Oh no!!! Well, that's Christmas ruined!

Essex Police have removed Insulate U.K. protesters from Junction 31 on M25 this morning.

Insulate U.K. are now blocking roads into and out of the Fuel Depot in Purfleet (Essex) due to the recent fuel delivery issues, they are not endearing the general public to their cause…

There were tons in JL on Monday - in fact, someone was trying to hard sell them to us.

I used to live in the village of Scone pronounced Scoon, in Perthshire.

I only knew the pronunciation of scOne as a child in Kent. Nowadays, I say whatever the company I’m in says. grin
