I think despite what happened to Jo Cox, we still dont really grasp what a vulnerable position MPs are in, I know this is true for many professions but I think we can overlook this.

Yes it just came up on my local newsfeed.

The air ambulance has landed on the playing fields nearby.

God I do hope his family know as we are discussing it and an air ambulance has only just landed

Whatever political party anyone supports, this is a dreadful consequence of being an MP.

They need to be available to their constituents which in turn leaves them vulnerable to attacks like this.

I do hope he recovers, my thoughts are with his family at this worrying time.

Parliament is united in sending best wishes and prayers as I am sure we all are on GN.

Yes I agree GG, politicians whatever their political persuasion are vulnerable, particularly at their surgeries it seems. Two Labour MPs have been stabbed, one fatally. so awful, I hope this MP recovers.

I know through my daughters friend how much work he has put in to get justice for the women who had the mesh implants.

In January 2000 Andy Pennington, assistant to LibDem MP Nigel Jones was killed by an attacker who came into the constituency office wielding sword. Nigel Jones tried to fend him off and was seriously injured. These attacks are shocking.

Sky News have announced 'a man has died'. How dreadful.

Yes, he's died. How utterly dreadful. His poor family.

He has died. This is appalling. I feel for his wife and family. This country is becoming more violent year on year. Just dreadful.
