An extract from a News report:

Meghan yesterday apologised to a court for not telling a judge about emails showing her attempts to influence a biography about her and Prince Harry, saying: “I forgot.”

I wonder what else she forgot?!!

FannyCornforth Sat 13-Nov-21 09:42:47

Oh, by the title of the thread, I thought that you were issuing an apology to Meghan…

lemongrove Sat 13-Nov-21 09:49:56

Yes, poor memories of events is a constant theme from celebrities and politicians.
I remember laughing at all the Nichola Sturgeon excuses when she was answering questions , why , she barely remembered a thing!( when Salmond had his turn...he had no memory lapses.?)

lemongrove Sat 13-Nov-21 09:51:05

Courts tend not to be lenient on these things when evidence come to light.

timetogo2016 Sat 13-Nov-21 09:54:29

Shock horror.

Smileless2012 Sat 13-Nov-21 09:55:53

Ignorance is no defence under the law so I doubt memory loss is either.

Alegrias1 Sat 13-Nov-21 09:59:18

Nicola! Nicola! If you're going to have a go at her get her name right.

Sheesh.

Oh sorry, I forgot, correcting spelling is not de rigeur.

FannyCornforth Sat 13-Nov-21 10:08:00

Alegrias it’s those damned aitches. Some have ‘em, others don’t
I’ve got a pesky one at the end of my name which used to be regularly omitted (not Cornforth)

Alegrias1 Sat 13-Nov-21 10:13:11

It did occur to me that maybe there's only one h and Meg(h)an and Nic(h)ola have to share it grin

*Nicola! Nicola!* If you're going to have a go at her get her name right.

Sheesh.

Oh sorry, I forgot, correcting spelling is not de rigeur.

But if you want to use the term de rigueur …….grin

Alegrias1 Sat 13-Nov-21 10:13:57

Oh, another faux pas.

Oh look what's happened now grin

lemongrove Sat 13-Nov-21 10:16:58

The name Nichola has two spellings ( I have two friends and both have the h in their names) but am sure Ms Sturgeon will forgive me.)?

lemongrove Sat 13-Nov-21 10:22:08

Apparently ( newsflash)? the other Royals were horrid to Harry over Meg’s ( let’s call her that, no lost h that way) Father.
So she says.
They just have to be in the limelight....although Mr Markle seems to be having his say recently which eclipses them.

eazybee Sat 13-Nov-21 10:35:21

The limelight isn't presenting either of them in a very good light at present, although it is certainly clarifying issues.
Meghan, I am sure, doesn't care a scrap what Britain thinks of her, but Harry does.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 13-Nov-21 10:39:42

I’m not sure Harry does care much these days. He made his choice, turned his back on his country and his responsibilities to it.

Anniebach Sat 13-Nov-21 10:49:14

Horrid to Harry ? Is asking him to make contact with his father in law horrid ?

AGAA4 Sat 13-Nov-21 10:59:32

I keep hoping that M and H will go away and live quietly out of the limelight.

There goes a flying pig ?.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 13-Nov-21 11:02:25

I think M’s memory troubles are contagious. H seemed to believe he had been cut off financially, which transpired not to be the case. I shared your hope AGA. We should have known better shouldn’t we?

That sums it up nicely. But why does he still want to keep all the royal trappings? He is irrelevant and just using his titles when it suits him.

I watched the interview with Thomas Markle and he admitted that his daughter had lied consistently over the past years.

He was particularly scathing about the inaccuracies in the Oprah interview, and the fact that the interviewer challenged nothing that was said.

Smileless2012 Sat 13-Nov-21 11:21:19

I didn't see the interview Jennifer but it if that's what he said about the Oprah 'interview' I agree with him. H's and M's 'inaccuracies' have been shown to be just that haven't they.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 13-Nov-21 11:30:45

I wish I had seen the TM interview.

???

People sometimes spell my name wrong and some even pronounce it wrongly too.

I must stop calling Meghan Meegan (in my head, I don't know her personally btw)

Josianne Sat 13-Nov-21 11:35:39

The interview was on the GB News channel but you can still catch it. It wasn't comfortable watching as the poor father looked really sick and ailing. He must be feeling really aggrieved to go on TV to speak to the world like that about his daughter (and son in law).

Am I going crazy, but didn't your GN name used to have a double l? Callistemon or Calistemon?
