who would you like to replace him - from either side?
Or is he the best of a bad bunch?

I think overall he has done @ good job in unprecedented circumstances. It’s all well with hindsight to say it should be this way or that, still prefer to follow the scientists, as much as I don’t agree with him on everything, including his affairs, I think he’s done a good job for this country. The one that really get on my nerves is Keir, he has not an original idea, like a dog with a bone he completely disregards Omicron to score a point over what may have happened last Christmas. An enquiry will sort that out, let Boris carry on with avoiding another nhs crisis due to this new variant. In place of Boris if he should resign, Dominic Raab, for one or Rishi Sunak.
Totally disagree. Hindsight is nothing to do with it. I knew we should be locking down just from information about the Italy situation so how much more must Boris have known as a world leader ?
Sir Ed Davey - an intelligent serious politician with proven experience as a most successful Energy Minister, who managed to enact good Liberal Democrat policies in the very difficult circumstances of having to work in coalition with the vested interests in the corrupt Conservative Party.
A good son, a good husband, a good father - a very decent man.
What a change that would be to have a decent PM!
Andy Burnham (our Mayor here in Greater Manchester) isn’t an MP. He stood down in the GE in 2017.

I agree with you Allsorts. The name I would add is Jeremy Hunt. I do like Rishi Sunak as well. I personally don’t think Boris is going anywhere at the moment. He delivered Brexit which gets a ? from me.

He booted out all the same Tories.
Although I think John Bercow in a recent interview had it right when he said even in the days of Major government sleaze no-one thought Major was anything other than full on integrity and an honest man.
Bizarrely the favourite to take over is Liz Truss. Have Tories never seen her interviewed or watched her speeches? I’d favour her as would give a good chance of getting the Tories out at the next election. Boris’ ‘blue collar army’ (TM Katie Hopkins) won’t vote for her and she isn’t going to appeal to many beyond one who would vote for a heap of dung wearing a blue rosette.
Isn't it strange that not many people do warm to Keir Starmer - I wonder why?
I think T. Tugendhat, a nearby MP. For the other side I also reckon Yvette could make a good job of it. I don't warm to Keir and I have no idea why really, I don't warm to Boris either to be fair. Failing them Jabba is probably the best choice

Who would I like to replace him? Andy Burnham.
Who is likely to replace him? Rishi Sunak.
(and yes, Riverwalk, I hear you - it's getting increasingly tricky to find someone with good overall ideas who wouldn't throw women under a bus)

Does the PM have to be an elected MP or could he/she be chosen from the House of Lords?
The better ones seem to have been shunted there.
I think they might have to give up being a Lord which is obviously more cushy!
I will ask my uncle. In fact I could ask him to come back as one of the better ones!
I was going to break it you gently Kitty that Jabba is a fictional character.??
Hunt!!!!
My hope would be Hut, lemongrove.
Harry Hill!
My money would be on Rishi Sunsk. I think he’s the most likely in the event of a leadership contest.
Granny 23 I’m seriously thinking about that now.
Are you sure about Rachel Reeves Urmston? She was unable to answer whether only women have a cervix.
And to be fair to Liz Truss she said that yes, only women have a cervix.
Oh, the conflicts we as women face!

Nicola Sturgeon. Get shot of the lot of them in one fell swoop with Independence. NB Scotland is underpopulated and welcomes immigrants as 'New Scots'. Like minded, left of centre, eco friendly, pro Europe? - Come and join us.
Errrr, no thanks! ?
A fun quiz kittylester by the sounds of it.
What I wish is that candidates for the position of leader could be chosen solely by MP’s from their political parties and not the members or the unions. It’s the MP’s that actually know them and have to work and be persuaded by them.
My own choice would be Hunt, or Sunak.
Labour I like :
Rachel Reeves (a rising star I hope - I could vote for her)
Yvette Cooper
Ones I don’t like:
Keir Starmer (that kneeling with Angela Rayner was just toe-curling)
David Lammy
Dawn Butler
Chris Bryant (Kay Burley’s bestie)
Mind you it’s POLICIES that are important not PERSONALITIES
Which is why I voted for Boris. To Get Brexit Done.
He was the only candidate offering to see it through.
My vote goes on Tom and Jerry! These clowns live the lives of cartoon characters! I hate Boris and his cronies!!! It is one rule for them and another for us. Mainly we have to stay in and be miserable while they party, party, party.
No one on the govt front bench which means that most of the rest are relatively unknown and inexperienced.
Whilst there are still some who think that the sun shines out of the PM I hope he remains in place. I think now that he's the best chance of Labour winning the next GE.
Definitely not Sunak - he's keen on austerity for most of us and tax reductions for the wealthiest.
Truss - no. Fancies herself as Mrs T and was even riding about on a tank the other day, just as Mrs T did during the Falklands War. She is stating that she wasn't at any Downing Street parties last year. I think most of us know that she was traveling around the world making trade agreements which don't appear to have materialised.
And gave us the Brexit that was voted for in the 2016 referendum.

One thing you can say for Boris is that he saved us from Corbyn.
