Piers Corbyn Arrested

Apparently he told an anti-vax mob to hammer MP’s and burn down their offices. If this is the truth and he did say these things, he deserves to go to prison as he’s a danger.

After the deaths of Jo Cox and David Ames’s, it’s shocking that the, supposedly intelligent, brother of the former leader of the Opposition could be so irresponsible and reckless.

Is Jeremy Corbyn a Labour MP? I don’t think he was reinstated and won’t be either over his antisemitism. So he voted against the government as an independent MP.

Regarding Piers, having watched the video (you ‘forced’ me to JaneJudge) he comes across as a complete looney and a dangerous one at that from the latest.

Yes, he stands as an Independent MP.
He must be so relieved now that he didn’t win the last GE, having to manage Brexit, Covid and a public embarrassment of a brother.

^I think that most of the people who voted for Brexit weren't much interested in the EU before the referendum campaign, had very little idea of how the EU actually 'worked' and were wide open to be stirred up by demagoguery.Having registered their vote and voted for Johnson, who has 'got Brexit done', they have lapsed into their usual state of indifference and can be easily persuaded that all the UK'ss woes are a result of covid. I suspect that we could slide back into the Single market without a squeak from most of them.^

Judgmental, much?

Par for the course on here isn’t it??

The other good swerve was the ‘apology’ for de-railing the thread. Talk about making a noise and contributing nothing

Rather unkind Iam
Any apology on GN threads is usually accepted with good grace...and rightly so.

I’ve got used to the preachy comments on here since the referendum result Baggs.

Doubt that MaizieD as the EU would doubtless extract a price for this ... and it might be controversial.

Urmstongran Mon 20-Dec-21 11:13:56

I for one have never said those words Doodledog ... so childish.

A majority voted for Brexit. Funny how no one admits it now.

I do. ?

Who is 'not admitting' that a majority voted for Brexit? All I seem to hear from those who did is 'We won! Get over it!

(and yes, Maisie, on the whole I agree).

Yes you’re absolutely right, many Labour supporters voted brexit.
I meant to say ‘remainers’ - but then it’s not all remainers who think that way either - just some.

Two thirds of Labour voters voted remain.

Just saying.

How unnecessarily unkind.

Iam64 Sun 19-Dec-21 18:56:24

I’ve just read the transcript of the rant that got him arrested. In it he refers to ‘my brother and his mates voting against it ‘. When I consulted google, it confirmed Jeremy `Corby, Dianne Abbott, Dawn Butler and Clive Lewis were amongst those voting with the Tory right wing rebels
I realise this could be a separate thread but - that gang are not Labour supporters

No you haven't <cringe>

Surely normal, stable men his age don't do that kind of thing? confused

... good grief, that really is cringeworthy. And very juvenile.

If that's the level of the 'anti' argument well... words fail me.

... good swerve there grin

As for Piers Corbyn, the man is both ridiculous and uninformed - not to mention dangerous.

Back in September, he was apparently kicked out of an event after heckling brother Jeremy Corbyn over the Climate crisis.

I suspect the two are not close...

Well, maybe lefties should stop calling ALL
brexit voters racist, thick, idiots.
That would be a good start.

All 'lefties' do no such thing.

There are some who vote Labour (not particularly left wing these days) who may think those things, but by no means all. If you remember, it was Brexit that divided the LP, as the party was in favour of Remaining, but many of the voters were not - a lot of so-called 'Red Wall' seats moved to blue because of Brexit.

maddyone Sun 19-Dec-21 14:51:25

^He’s an anarchist.
Or seriously unwell.^

Indeed he is. It’s very strange behaviour from a man of his age. I wonder what influenced him that made him into what he is now. I’m glad he’s been arrested and I would be perfectly content if he was sentenced to prison, although I doubt he will be. His risky behaviour isn’t confined to singing childish songs on the tube, from what I’ve heard he was inciting arson, which can of course cause deaths.

Allsorts Sun 19-Dec-21 14:47:12

I don’t care who he supports, he should be arrested for inciting violence. I do think he might be deranged though and I thought his brother and the company he keeps bad enough.

Calistemon Sun 19-Dec-21 14:39:23

Chewbacca

Piers Corbyn is neither a true left nor right wing supporter; he's just a loud mouthed, aggressive yob who hitches himself to wherever he can to shout his ill informed crap the loudest.

He's an anarchist
Or seriously unwell.

Perhaps both.

This thread will be gone soon…

Before it goes, I'd like to say his arrest hasn't come a moment too soon.
Well done Yvette Cooper.

He must be an embarrassment to his family.
