A critical assessment of a fake, photoshopped photograph. Just like everything else emanating from the pair of them, it's a lie.
I am not a messy person but...
Virtual patient in Virtual ward ??
So the glorious couple have released the first picture of Baby Lilibet on their Happy Holiday Season card, but why are they always so annoying in everything they do? Both children's faces are only partially visible, we don't get a good look at them. Okay, their choice I suppose, but why?
Even more annoying is that they are once again boasting about their charitable donations. As discussed on another GN thread called 'Doing Good' it is generally agreed that charity work should be done privately with modesty, and not to publicise your good works. Instead we have: As we look forward to 2022 we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families - from those being relocated from Afghanistan to American families in need of paid parental leave.
Just to make sure we all know how wonderful they are I suppose.

It’s Archies left cheek that’s wrong. The bone of the left eye socket has disappeared and the cheek blob has been added. There is a definite halo effect too which is usual in photoshop
What? just what is this thread developing into.....is everyone so bored
Josieann I knew that thumb reminded me of something
So many with expert knowledge on various other sites have said it’s photoshopped. All their photos are apparently. There is something unnatural about this one I think. It just doesn’t look real.

It’s hard to get four people all looking good on the same photo. Once professionals used to take a hundred shot, one after the other to get one decent one.
Now they take about a dozen and just photoshop one good face or whatever to another.
They did it in the latest Shaun the Sheep which I thought was very funny?

Josieann If you click on the photograph to enlarge it, it's easy to see that the top of the thumb is at a different angle to the bottom - they just don't go together, plus it's a different colour and too long for a thumb.
Its ET's finger!
The bandy horse could be a dog too, or chair legs?

Wonky but not that long It really is the longest thumb in thumb in the world?
The thing with Archie is that he is looking at something on the floor while the others were looking at the baby. Either as you say it is a composite or maybe the dog was sniffing round the ground and distracted him?!
I agree. I'm also fascinated by what is in the background to the far right. It's really too dark to see but there's someone or something there. Looking at the bottom, I wondered if they were the legs of a horse, albeit a bandy one.

That card is a photoshopped joke. Look at MM's thumb - the top (above baby's arm) is at a different angle to the base and a different colour to the rest of her hand.
There's a sort of halo effect around the baby's body but not the head - it has obviously been photoshopped on.
Yes I think I said back around page two that Arcies face has been photoshopped. The angle of the left cheek is quite odd.
I did wonder about the space between her pointed finger and the thumb. Far too big a gap and as you say something odd about that angle too.
I wondered if it’s a photo with a few judicious changes or a composite. The halo effect makes me wonder if it’s two or three phots shopped together.
But then I thought that’s quite common nowadays.

^I think children don't always know when they are being rude and it's up to the adults to make them realise if they are. Social etiquette is something they learn as they grow.^
I think Charlotte said it quite politely - perhaps Auntie Anne will teach her some more forthright words as she gets older and needs to deal with the paparazzi.
!!!
MaddyOne says everything that needs to be said about this couple and why people dislike them. They want the money, the royal connections that afford them an interest but do not want anything that is not on their terms and that will make them money. They are dislikable to many. Very calculating to release their card last in my opinion.
To me, M & H's take on life is shallow and it centres around what is fashionable at that moment. I think this is because they want to remain relevant as they see their popularity dwindling. It is all about self promotion, but that turns very sour when they start criticising their own families along the way.

Social etiquette, the press ?
Do most of the royal family give an Oprah type interview or
A James Corden on top of a bus interview
Agree maddyone
Maddyone sums them up very well and the reasons why many dislike them.
Some people don't seem to understand why H&M get criticized while W&C are the golden couple who can do no wrong. But it is purely down to behaviour. H&M have done so many inappropriate things and the final straw was the Oprah interview, which was so unkind to Harry's family and especially the Queen. That interview was completely unnecessary, if they want to make a new life then just get on with it. Don't drag up past grievances which will hurt people.
But I dont really care if they are royal or not. So when William and Kate lecture on climate change it's the same to me as Harry and Meghan. Or Emma Thompson for that matter who I really like as an actress but who's advice on flying made me cross

She said ‘your not coming ‘ as they walked into the Church , not shy is she
That sounds quite rude - I’d be shocked if my GD said that.

I agree with your explanations, maddyone.
