Anyone else excited? ?
I bet that Angela Rayner couldn’t sleep last night!

I assume that she’ll be doing it as Starmer is self isolating (for the sixth time, no less).

Apparently, Johnson is making a statement before PMQs, which is highly unusual.

Hello Urms I hope that wasn’t directed at me, but no, I wouldn’t like my stays in hospital discussed (mind you, I’ve mentioned DH’s often enough).
I was just intrigued about what others were hinting at.
I’m still intrigued to be honest

Gill ''Funny how the two who nursed him have flown away and cannot be interviewed.''

I think this is not beyond the remit of a couple of great journalists on a mission. I wonder how much they were paid to 'fly'.

Can someone please expand on this conspiracy theory?
What do we think that they are ‘hiding’?

Goodness me. Some people see conspiracy theories everywhere. I remember Boris personally thanking these named medics. Surely that was enough? We do have to consider patient confidentiality for everyone regardless of who they are. Would you like your stays in hospital discussed with the media? I think not.

I find it strange that no one in the media has questioned why the Police allowed this party to go ahead. They surround the building and must have seen what was happening.

Do not forget that competent as Gray is, she is not independent, and her boss is Johnson.

I think the critical issue that she must address is whether her boss mislead parliament. If he did then he goes.

But Johnson does not intend to go- he is fighting back. That pressure can take two forms.

Pressure on the met- police - which is constitutionally illegal - but whenever did that stop Johnson?

Pressure on Gray when the report is submitted to Johnson. He will see it before anyone else.

My problem is that given the road of corruption, illegality and lies this government is travelling, how can I be confident of the findings?

I think Angela Rayner would have really had him riled Shane she didn’t get to do it
It’s not as if it’s the first time just the first time he’s been outed so throughly
Total waffle he’s only sorry he was caught out he should go and so should all the rest of them that were working in the garden with a pint in their hand
I know his wife was with him last time was she this time if so it wasn’t work was it or is she privy to the workings of the government
I tell you if the whole country was on the street baying for his removal he d waffle on sailing I didn’t know…….

He’s the kid in vlasss that says ‘wasn’t me miss it was him’

Good question, FannyC. I am a bit lost, too.

Another phrase to add to the drinking game or Johnson bingo is”the People’s Priorities” - in other words, Tory priorities.

Lemon, it was a (failed) lighthearted attempt to preempt you criticising my post, just trying to save you from having to post a criticism of my passing on SM rumours.

Definitely failed.

MayBee70 Wed 12-Jan-22 20:57:01

She did give an interview. She said she resigned over lack of respect for NHS workers….

MayBee70 Wed 12-Jan-22 20:49:31

I meant helped look after him….

MayBee70 Wed 12-Jan-22 20:49:08

I think the nurse who treated him did give an interview after she left her job but I could be wrong.

I thought Chris Bryant was very good; calm and eloquent and straight to the point. It was very noticeable that Johnson was, for the first time in a long time, looking reasonably well groomed. His shirt was clean, collar where it should be, tie straight, hair not as bad as usual. Like someone turning up in court and hoping to give a good impression grin

But, having listened to the evidence, still guilty and should be sent down.

Maizie I do keep thinking that something about drink and / or drugs will come out at some point

There are many rumours of this on SM. Funny how the two who nursed him have flown away and cannot be interviewed. Before you accuse me lemon, this is what happens when we have a liar as PM, one starts to doubt everything he says and does. Still it could be worse, imagine being the wife who was once the mistress.

Why put my name in your post? I have no interest in ‘accusing you’ of anything.I haven’t posted anything about Johnson being in hospital with Covid.hmm
Nor do I absolve Johnson of blame where the ‘number ten parties’ are concerned, as I believe the buck stops at the top.

It was codswallop. Our economy is not performing better than all other comparable countries. The opposite is true, but he is so used to getting away with lies he just can't help himself.

No, the opposite is not true. ( sigh)

So, just had a thought, when we were unable to meet with our families and friends, if we'd only known to form companies all together we could have had work events in our gardens that might have 'looked' like social gatherings but weren't.

But maybe we would have been more intelligent and not issued written invitations.

AGA ?It never fails to amaze me how intelligent people can be so stupid as many politicians and civil servants seem to be.

AGAA4 Wed 12-Jan-22 16:00:22

Boris said at PMQ " I should have sent them all inside".
This sounded to me as though he was blaming his staff for breaking the rules and he was just being the lenient headmaster type letting them have their fun.

I think blame will eventually shift to others.

Managed to throw in ‘vaccinations’ again….

FannyCornforth Wed 12-Jan-22 15:21:54

That’s how I feel Gill
The MP for Stourbridge said how employment there was booming; and then Johnson came out with some figures; and I just thought, well, that could just be a load of codswallop.
He can just say any old load of toot.
