One of the most astonishing things is that, in their reporting this morning, the BBC are having to repeatedly say "He will be expected to answer truthfully".

This is the country we live in now.

What is it these days? So many really poor leaders in so many countries, including ours in Australia. Aren't they paid enough? Do they deliberately choose incompetents who can be manipulated or what? And when she mentioned Majors affair it had to be pointed out that Johnson wasn’t exactly squeaky clean in that department.
