What a lot of power Dominic Cummings thinks he has...

Online news this morning; Dominic Cummings has declared that Boris Johnson is a 'fu****t' and it is 'his duty to remove him'. Aside from the fact that he supported the Johnson administation until he fell out of favour and was relieved of his position, what kind of ego does this man have when he can declare that 'his duty' is to bring down the Prime Minister? I wonder what his job description is right now, and never cease to marvel at the astounding narcissism of some personalities who were formerly in politics. A sense of unending self importance and omnipotence - Tony Blair being another .

Bit rude, Mummer. I worked in a very 'real world' with people enduring the worst of times, but never found it necessary to accumulate recordings or data as an insurance against...what? You are/must have been terribly important. The rest of us are clearly 'f**k wits* (sigh)

Cummings: nasty sleezebag! Massive chip on his shoulder since his sacking. He should be completely ignored.

Purpledaffodil Tue 01-Feb-22 13:22:33

n 1971, President Lyndon Johnson said of a dangerous rival: "It's probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out than outside the tent pissing in." Hmmm?

Suehappynana Tue 01-Feb-22 13:18:21

Sarnia, the suspicion has to be that he knew too much about Boris....and was very involved in the Leave campaign as mentioned by westendgirl so possibly BJ continued partly because of that. Who knows? Personally, I've never had time for BJ and hope he gets what he deserves.

Totally my words too Chewbacca.
A man with a grudge.

Doodledog Tue 01-Feb-22 13:10:15

I asked above if any Boris supporters thought he wouldn't do exactly the same if the position were reversed, but no-one has come forward with an answer.

Cummings is an odious crocodile (is that a better non-cuddly analogy?), but he was part of what has been shown to be a corrupt and self-serving regime. I am not remotely surprised that this has happened - both the law-breaking and Cummings' treachery. Both are a direct result of the elitist attitude that is itself a direct result of the backgrounds of most of the people at the top of the Tory party, and have been glaringly obvious since the £350 billion lie on the bus. It will be interesting to see how the 'red wall' MPs react when they hear what their constituents have to say.

When you know you know ..and he does. He was the brains behind Brexit and the brains behind Boris who is not the brightest despite his various literary quotes and analogies . Cummings was up against it trying to make impactful changes at government and then he was up against Mrs Johnson who is an ambitious and dominant character in her husbands life. Cummings is not likeable .. but he’s clever ..spiteful ..not really ..just spilling the beans to expose what we all know..don’t let an opinion of his persona or his castle trip cloud our judgement or diffuse the seriousness of this prime minsters inadequacy for the job ... Cummings knows more than anyone the truth I believe.

Well said.Carrie Antoinette even had the utter lowlife idea of a party to celebrate ridding herself of the man who had the ear
Of the 'king' after months of scheming. He probably saw straight through her, that's usually the reason someone is so vociferously ousted. She is dangerous manipulative and not a good idea to have her anywhere near the man running the country's assets. Bojo is a simple one track minded idiot , she chose well when she set her sights on him. I wonder how long they will last once he has no power?

A more accurate description of bojo I have not heard! There's no "think" about it ,DC has power.he also has recordings and all the other goodies a clever person accumulates during their time with any company as insurance.i know I always did, one would be a complete f***wit not to! Or did you not work in the real world?

lavendermine Tue 01-Feb-22 12:55:50

What a lovely picture of a weasel Fanny he looks a cheeky little boy! We won't refer to DC as a weasel anymore.

On a serious note, DC has much up his sleeve yet I fear, and will keep putting things out in the media. I can't imagine what else is due to arrive, I dread to think.

I don’t want Cummins shut up. He is doing an enormous service in revealing the shenanigans of what went on ( and is probably still going on) at No ten.
It shows Boris’s poor judgement to have chosen a man of this calibration to give him advice. I read Dim Coms tweets enjoy thinking I was right about him all along.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 01-Feb-22 12:39:10

No they’re not are they? But very useful for eating slugs. Boris reminds me very much of a fat slug.

FannyCornforth Tue 01-Feb-22 12:35:38

We’re being very unkind to weasels!

I know. I’ve said that before, the are delightful little things.
Toads aren’t doing so well either

I'm sure there's very many more secrets known to Cummings. Perhaps far worse. Johnson Cummings Johnson Cummings. Hard to decide who's more slippery.
My vote goes to Johnson.

I really think everyone should bypass him and stop listening. The law, the government, the media and us.

What this odious man wants is publicity and attention. We should starve him of it. Show him how irrelevant he is.

The worrying thing is he may not be so irrelevant if Johnson goes.
I expect he is still manipulating those who are quietly jockeying for position when that happens.

This.
DC is a hypocritical deceitful weasel.

I hope that he manages it.
Fair means or foul!
Johnson is an extremely dangerous man.

However dangerous Johnson is he is not as dangerous as Cummings.

When Johnson falls, Cummings will be back, manipulating the next puppet PM unless the more reasonable Tories show they have some backbone.

kwal Tue 01-Feb-22 12:05:33

He is a very sore loser and has lost all respect, if he ever had any. I'm amazed that anyone is even listening to him although the media will always listen to anything that they can make a story from. I expected Sur Gray to be more sensible. Maybe she was and was just letting him get it over with. Chewbacca, you took the words right out of my mouth (thanks Meatloaf!!)

Grantanow Tue 01-Feb-22 12:01:35

Just as awful as Johnson! BJ's disgusting Saville smear at Starmer in the Commons yesterday was vile. The man is unfit for public office.

To get the top job of PM or President you can't be a lovely cuddly nicey person. To be a top civil servant like Cummings the same applies. It is a bit like a pantomime, Cummings is Abanazer or the wicked witch and BJ is the bumbling old baron hardup (he is one of the personally poorest PM's in history) that is probably why he held a bring your own booze party he couldn't afford the bill.

Cumming was never a civil servant. He was a SPAD - a political aide appointed by Johnson because he had proved he could convince a lot of the voters to believe lies.

jaylucy Tue 01-Feb-22 11:51:34

I have said on here before that I think Cummings is a nasty vindictive little **.
He is determined to bring everyone down that has upset him and Johnson was too daft to not see behind the smile and trust him, while Cummings was no doubt imagining his own sense of power in the scheme of things.

Cummings is just a spiteful nasty piece of work. It was Boris wife who saw through him and got rid of him. And yes I agree. Tony Blair is equally nasty and self important. What a ghastly pair they are !

tigger Tue 01-Feb-22 11:41:44

He knows too much and until he has spilled every single bean he will always be dangerous. I despise the man but for once is perhaps doing the country a favour.
