Virginia Giuffre and the missing picture

Apparently Prince Andrew’s accuser has lost the photograph of her and PA together. He has always maintained it’s fake and his legal team want it be examined.

Does anyone else find it odd that a photograph that has been kept for years has now suddenly been lost?

Anniebach Thu 17-Feb-22 09:29:06

So confusing, a woman whose evidence against Maxwell was accepted , she said publicly that Giuffrie had told her she was
going to sleep with a Prince in London, am sure she would have given evidence in court again, perhaps best if she omitted
the word ‘excited’ though

It’s the problem many celebrities have, an accusation that cannot be proven sticks, in this case backed up by a dodgy photo and association with Epstein.

You pay to make it go away and it’s a bit late to dispute the photo.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 17-Feb-22 09:15:17

If he had admitted guilt, that would have left him wide open to future criminal proceedings.

That was never going to happen.

Sarnia Thu 17-Feb-22 09:13:06

Anniebach

He hasn’t admitted guilt

His joint statement spoke volumes about whether he is guilty or not. He accepted that she was a victim of abuse and never intended to malign her despite spending the last 7 years doing just that. What is missing is any suggestion that he might be innocent. In these cases there is often a clause to the effect that they deny any wrongdoing. There isn't such a clause in this statement. He doesn't have to admit to guilt. How many people pay £12m to someone they can't recall?

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 17-Feb-22 09:06:57

The only guilt he has admitted is being a friend of Epstein.

Janamax Thu 17-Feb-22 09:04:35

Personally, I take this allegation with a large pinch of salt. Its no coincidence that The Daily Mail are spreading this muck just when Andrew (I refuse to call that poor excuse for a man a Prince) is having to pay out hush money to make all the nasty people go away because Mummy is upset.

Anniebach Thu 17-Feb-22 08:56:38

He hasn’t admitted guilt

Whitewavemark2 Thu 17-Feb-22 08:55:56

Apparently over 80% of people living in York want him stripped of his title.

I suppose have someone associated with sex trafficking and all that goes with it, is not someone you would want as a representative if your town or county.

Best to have done with it imo.

nanna8 Thu 17-Feb-22 08:53:31

He has admitted guilt by this and quite right, too. Tell me they wouldn’t have shouted from the rooftops if she was a shonky cheat and he was an innocent man. I hope they remove his dukedom, he doesn’t deserve it.

Galaxy Thu 17-Feb-22 08:52:55

My morning typing is awful smile

Galaxy Thu 17-Feb-22 08:52:14

I dont know the statistics in the US but in the UK conviction rate for rapes are now under 3%. I think with that rate of conviction anyone would be mad to go through a court case. I think you wouldne better adling what reason would you have for going to court faced with those statistics.

Aveline Thu 17-Feb-22 08:50:51

Good point Anniebach

Anniebach Thu 17-Feb-22 08:48:50

She should have refused the settlement, what reason could she have for accepting it

Sarnia Thu 17-Feb-22 08:45:42

The FBI have the original and she has lost the copy. And why eazybee do you thinks she should shut up? She has shone a light on a lot of seedy little men in a sordid world that otherwise may have gone unnoticed. There will be so many young girls being used and abused at this very moment should they shut up as well? I would have preferred her to take PA to court rather than accept hush money but she needed to stand up for herself and women in the same dreadful plight.

Mollygo Wed 16-Feb-22 12:34:04

Namsnammy, Neither particularly. I meant politicians, ‘celebrities’ or actually, anyone with a claim to fame with a marketable sin for the media to use.

Namsnanny Wed 16-Feb-22 12:14:57

Some people will be worried their turn is on the way
Do you mean Royals or 'friends' of Epstein mollygo?

Grany Wed 16-Feb-22 12:03:19

Yes fleece the Royals they have far too much given to them they will never be short of money they won't miss it drop in the ocean.

The queen had transparency law changed to keep her wealth hidden from public view. Hides her money in tax haven. Has queen's consent to make sure she protects her private interests, laws she vets despite supposedly being above politics

The two duchies were not considered when first estimating civil list as not worth much then, has since grown massively Charles benefits over 20 million and queen. No inheritance tax ect The Duchy of Cornwall does not pay capital gains tax some ministers have raised questions.

Good for Verginia a victory and help for her charity.

NanKate

I wonder how PA will pass his time now out of the limelight. No doubt Fergie will be at his side.

I wonder how the media will fill the pages now he’s out of the limelight?
Some people will be worried that their turn is on its way.

eazybee Wed 16-Feb-22 11:27:50

I wonder how much her legal team will claim?
It would be nice to think she will go back to Australia, shut up and retire from public life but I doubt it.

Anniebach Wed 16-Feb-22 11:14:03

Criticism is abuse ? So Carrie Johnson, Camilla, the Queen,
Boris, Starmer, Corbyn have also been abused ?

Iam64 Tue 15-Feb-22 21:22:09

Peasblossom, how do you know VG didn’t want the settlement to go to the charity she set up for victims like herself?
Trisha rightly points out Prince A accepts she is a victim, who suffers public abuse. Often on this forum

trisher Tue 15-Feb-22 21:18:01

Peasblossom

Except she’s had to agree to it going to charity which isn’t what she wanted.

I’ll be interested to see how her other cases develop.

PeasblossomIt is her charity she set it up . It supports other victims

PA has said he never meant to malign her and realises she has suffered public abuse. It's a pity some on GN don't realise this.

Grandnana Tue 15-Feb-22 20:53:24

Whitewavemark2

He was never going to court. It would have been a massive risk as evidence given would have almost certainly subsequently used for a criminal case.

It was never, never going to happen.

Exactly!

Grandnana Tue 15-Feb-22 20:13:55

Whitewavemark2

Curlywhirly

Well, if he's come to an agreement (albeit in principle at the moment) doesn't that indicate that he did 'have relations' her?

If you read the comments they don’t deny it, and in fact appear to accept that there was trafficking etc. by Epstein.

Yuk

Exactly. He didn't want to risk court imo.

NanKate Tue 15-Feb-22 20:06:01
