With respect Germanshepherdsmum you don't know that.

Your point doesn't detract from the fact that we need excellent leadership now and we don't have it. For example, the comments made by the Defence Secretary today seem provocative, childish and foolhardy.

We are at a point in history when strength, eloquence, diplomacy, honesty and moral courage are vital and this undisciplined, braying mob are ruling the country.

Whoever was in power would be acting in exactly the same childish way.

''However, the braying of the Terrible Tories was stopping her from speaking. I think Mr Speaker was a bit miffed in general today.''

miffed is not the word I'd use. I am sure he is a very nice, decent man, but he is totally out of his depth and just does not have the clout.

In all fairness paddyann54 no more disrespect is shown by the PM and cabinet members to the SNP than it is to any opposition party. They have no manners or respect for other views of whatever persuasion whatsoever. They don’t even show courtesy to other members of the Tory party who dare to voice an opposing view. Boorish.

I agree

Caroline Lucas did go on at length before getting to her question. Mind you Johnson gives a PPB everytime in his last answer to Keir Starmer. In some of the more modern Parliaments (Scotland included), whatever the "chair" is called just switches off the mike if someone doesn't get to the question.

However, the braying of the Terrible Tories was stopping her from speaking. I think Mr Speaker was a bit miffed in general today.

Bercow is a big miss. He must have been annoying to Brexiteers, but like it or not, he insisted that Parliamentary protocols were adhered to, regardless of who was speaking or misbehaving. Hoyle is a kitten by comparison.

Bercow

Kali2 I missed PMQT today, so thanks for posting that link. Johnson's behaviour was appalling. I think the Speaker needs to get a better grip on behaviour - like him or loathe him, Berrow kept better order.

Shocking disrespect

It was appalling- and particularly the bit with Caroline Lucas.

And why did the Speaker allow the PM to walk off when Chris Bryant asked a question about a Russian oligarch. Surely he should have stopped him and request that he remains.

I stopped watching PMQ'sthe disrepect shown to the elected members of the SNP sickens me.
Is this REALLY democracy ?
Whatever the personalfeeling of the opposite bench the men and women of the SNP have been elected on ever increasing votes by the people of Scotland and quite frankly are doing a better job than Bo'jo's circus of clowns and incompetents..not to mention crooks and liars
.What it does do is show us exactly where we stand with the toxic tories and that can only be to the benefit of the Independence cause.

I was appalled at the dreadful behaviour at todays PMQs, demonstrated by the Tory party, especially as they tried to shout down Caroline Lucas. The phrase "led by donkeys "was illustrated in full by their braying. I also thought Linsey Hoyle should have stepped in more quickly and shown more support.
I wonder what you think.
