They may or may not be of importance Anniebach but they are of interest to many.

Good grief, I can't believe this thread!

So are you only allowed to comment if you're adhere to some random scale decided by UK grannies of who is important in the world stage?

This is bizarre.

I did prefer the old you

I have been reborn with even less toleration for b***shit.

Dear me. This thread is similar to Chloe that recently finished on BBC. I didn’t get that either confused

Meanwhile London and it’s landmarks show solidarity with Ukraine- I now expect the “who do they think they are” comments.

Don't hold your breath waiting, I wouldn't think more than one or two on GN are anything other than 100% for Ukraine and its people. Why would anyone object to showing solidarity with such bravery as is being demonstrated?

I don’t understand what you mean.sorry.
M and H post a small paragraph on their website and get slammed on here.
The Cambridges do an announcement in a similar vein. I am just asking if that is OK for those who criticised the other one ?!

Okay....
volver suggested the Cambridges were late to the party with their public support, compared to others.

I suggested that it might have been their second offering and another private and personal message may have been sent previously, given that the Cambridges have obviously met the Ukrainians.

Clearly I would register nil points on said scale so I had better say nothing .

Same as Callistemon. I will readily admit to being dense though.?

We're all as thick as sh*t except for one or two on GN who show the rest of us up for how dim we are grin

Wonderful!

I have seen posts on FB showing the Ukrainian flag (from Ukrainian friends of family who live here and elsewhere3)

Anniebach

Feel rather sorry for them, they seem to believe they are of importance/ interest on the world stage.

And now Prince William and Catherine have said the same …
Is that OK ?

Yes

Because, for the time being at least, they are of importance on the world stage.

I imagine that a personal private message will have been sent previously to the President and First Lady who they actually met.

Would that have been in addition to the one we were told yesterday that our Head of State bravely sent from her sick bed? Gosh, Zelensky's inbox must be full.

Pantglas2 Sat 26-Feb-22 16:27:41

Referring to volver post...

It's like living in the Matrix. Or 1984. Or Animal Farm.

Take your pick.

To quote for another slightly less dystopian film...

If they told you wolverines made good house pets, would you believe them?

That is just the official public offering made by others who don’t know them....ahem!

What ?

I read it as sarcasm confused

So did I.
