I feel perfectly entitled to criticise and nation in the world. I certainly do my fair share of criticising the USA .

I’m not going to stop “Boris or Brexit bashing “ - we are supposed to be a democracy aren’t we allowed to criticise our so called government? And the policies that have weakened and demeaned this country? Why should we tolerate the lies this overgrown toddler tells on a daily basis?

I cannot muster up the energy to be interested in M&H although I have tried. Far more important things going on, like having a treasonous liar as PM. That's just for starters.

Anyway the important thing is that people do whatever they can to help Ukraine and refugees in the most sensible and suitable way possible . Most of us cannot even conceive of how they must feel

I don't know anything about Switzerland having only stayed there for six weeks about 50 years ago which I thoroughly enjoyed. I know nothing of their government, not even the name of their PM. But what I do know is that if I had, or was interested in Swiss politics, I would not, on a mainly Swiss forum, be airing adverse comments about how its government chooses to run the country, still less be making derogatory comments about its leader or the path their government was taking. If I did, I would expect people to probably feel prettyangry and not be surprised if they made that clear. Constant Brexit and Boris bashing has, for some of us, become extremely tedious and actually downright rude.

Kali2 I don't know why you're lecturing me I've never questioned your right to an opinion, and I am not a racist and trust you will clarify you are not calling me one.

You have once again explained about paying back the costs of support given over many years and I understand that it is equal treatment for all. What I cannot understand is taking assets on arrival from an asylum seeker leaving them with a maximum total of 1000 Swiss francs. Am I not allowed to say I think this is a bad policy? By stripping them down to this figure surely they are restricted in how much they can help themselves? I didn't go 'digging' for dirt on Switzerland, merely opened a link that was posted. I do think this policy is relevant because it would indicate any Ukrainian asylum seekers who land in Switzerland will be subject to this policy and expected to hand over their assets above the given figure.

Of course Ukrainian refugees coming to the UK to be with relatives should have been rubber-stamped through without delay. Our government failed at this hurdle, and demonstrated a complete lack of empathy. That is not 'digging dirt' either, just stating my opinion.

No-one is telling you that you don't have a right to an opinion for any reason whatsoever.
However, it's how opinions are expressed that could cause problems and everyone has a right to question your opinion.
And to question your demands to know what posters are doing to help and, also, if they do not boast and virtue signal about how much they are helping, the assumption that they are doing nothing when they should.

Most people just quietly get on with helping in the ways they know they can; donating money is not something to be despised or looked down on.
Doing nothing because they are struggling themselves is not to be despised either.

Never, ever. And I do not bash UK, absolutely not, I have explained so many times. I am strongly criticising Brexit and everything lie that sailed with it, and the current Government.
